Here is my first label, it's for my Irish Red:

I made it with Photoshop and saved it as a psd file and a jpeg file. When I save it as a jpeg the text gets all fuzzy and you can see some green smudges around the lettering. Can anyone tell me why this is doing that?

Any other advice/opinions would be great. I'm not thrilled with this label, it's kind of blah...

Save it as a .png file if you can.

I think it looks great.

it's the jpeg compression... use something with a better compression algorithm...or better yet, don't use compression at all. presumably, you're not moving the file across a network thousands of times a day -- you'll print it out and stick it on the bottle...so file size is not an issue. it'll be clearer if you print it out as a PSD or TIFF instead of as a JPEG
