I brewed BierMuncher’s oktoberfast ale at the start of September, after it finished fermenting I put it into the garage and was letting it age in the fermentor until a later time when I would have a keg free to keg it for a party. Just looked at it today and it has a nice white formation all across the top evenly covering the whole beer.
So question now is should I package it or should I let the wild stuff do it’s thing and wait a couple months for the pellicle to fall and maybe have something cool and unexpected.

Thoughts? I can post a photo of it later.

If it still tastes fine i'd keg it and get it chilled and try to drink it all as quickly as possible. If you enjoy experimenting then you can always let it go for a while and see what happens (as long as it doesn't taste or smell bad).

Did this happen in a plastic bucket/carboy or was it in a glass carboy? If you were using plastic, you'll probably want to get rid of it and buy something new as the existing plastic will be extremely likely to infect future batches.

The same goes for any transfer hoses / siphons you use to siphon the beer into the keg.

Thanks!
Yeah unfortunately it happened in my plastic 7gallon Fermonster. Thoughts are I’ll taste it and then maybe keg half and experiment with the other half.
