I assume that's what the post was about, but could be wrong...

the 11:30 AM thing should alleviate some of that, but I dig it because it's just 20 min from work so I can make that happen on lunch break. Not next week, tho.

I brought up this topic of Fieldwork and canning over in the San Diego Thread. I know it was brought up many times that they make the most $$ from their own tap rooms, but why not add in a few can runs.

I just knew that it's time would eventually come. I think it will be good for them and increase their profile. Also make them $$.

This will also be good for the consumer if the price on the 4 pack is below $17 (fill price of 64oz growler).

Yeah, not sure how a growler fill should cost as much or more than something that has material costs.

Alvarado cans are over $20 a four-pack, why would Fieldwork go lower? I'm just glad that I can get a half barrel of good pale/IPA for ~$160 or $1.25 per pint. Sure, the growlers are good to mix things up, but that's so much ******* money for drinkin' beer.

Alvarado cans are less than that at the brewery. Whichever IPA they were selling when I was there was $15/4-pack.

Yeah but they've been continually raising the price in distro. For some reason as long as you're getting a marginally better deal for a can then you'd pay for a pint at a bar, people seem to not care.

The trick is to not drink it all at once.

I'm growing a little tired of it to be honest. But the people like it so obviously the breweries will provide.

Ha! Simmer down fellow beer geeks. So for the confusion/ambiguity...all smiles with the cans. Growing a bit tired of all the haze. Many are good, but many are just meh. That's all I was referring to. Carry on.

Crowlers and growler fills are usually $11-$12 for 32 oz, correct? So $5/16 oz. cans isn't any kind of markup at all. You actually save $1-2. Sours are more, so that Fog Ripper is a deal if they keep those at $5 per.

Alvarado cans were 15.99 a 4-pack down here prior to the 38 Miles release.

Cans at 16oz are just so damn convenient. Especially on the holiday weekend. Going to bring them Thanksgiving for sure. The $5 still stings a bit, was hoping for $4 per can but whatever.....lol... Just may buy a few less.

I bet these cans last until Friday or even Saturday 11/26. (FW says 1,500 cans of Pulp) I have heard a lot of people locally that are on flights out of town on Wed 11/23 at release time. Isn't the Wed before Thanksgiving one of the busiest Travel days of the year in this country? Strange they don't release on Tuesday.

1500 cans spread across three locations with a limit of 12 per person. I would be shocked if it doesn't sell out on Wednesday (at least in Oakland and Sacramento, I have no idea how much traffic their Napa tasting room gets).

Sure, but comparing drink-at-home prices to bar prices is dumb. Craft beer is getting stupid expensive because too many people do that.
