Recs for a Sunday evening in Chicago? Starting from 90/Irving park. Tentatively planning on Beer Temple Tap Room and Off Color Mousetrap but I'm open to other suggestions. Probably from 7-11 this coming Sunday...

I thought the IPAs were done at Wisconsin Brewing in Verona. Kirby Nelson built a big, pretty brewery with lots of capacity. Too bad their own beers seems to range from poor to middling.

WB also did contracting for Pabst & Not Your Father's Rootbeer, and i'm fairly sure they secured a Toppling Goliath contract (though i dont know they ever brewed anything, i left WI right around the same time.)

I agree if the variety isn't like three other breweries 20 miles away it can be cool, like i'd love to check out whatever funk is. i'm pretty sure they got some contracts with some big outta state guys (CCB maybe?) so maybe in the future. here's a fun question, are they brewing finch there, like is finch being contract brewed on a system it bought and then sold?

Last I heard, Finch has its own system and space, across the street from Great Central.

And it looks like Great Central spent a bunch of $$$ on a ROLEC system back in 2016 before Finch moved into the former Like Minds space.

Great Central has a 50bbl brewhouse yep. They've done a few things under their own name (a hefe, a weizenbock...something else.) The Weizenbock was awesome, the hefe is good, a few other samples they've brought me were good too.

Random question picked up a can of Noon Whistle and the can had a best by date on it. Anyone know what the window is for this? It was dated best by 2/20/18 so i'm thinking 90 days from canned on date.

Per the party this Saturday - We aren't going for the craziest list ever, but there will be a few gems IMO.

Also, we're doing a throwback bottle share to harken back to the days when we could do those kinds of things.
