they never added spirits, they just lied it was 19.5%. it was always an 11% malt liquor with 8.5% of unfermented sugar & sorbates. now that they have national attention and corporate ownership, they don't want them out and out lying about the abv of the beer.

but seriously, how can anyone talk about beer on this global day of mourning?

That makes much sense. Thanks.

We get a Saturday in Chicago without kids. Hoping either Rev still has some Coffee SJ or Haymarket still has some fun stuff pouring.
brave the crowds and hit up the new half acre kitchen?

Last one I opened was basically 2012 BCBS in a large format bottle.

My 2012 BCS Coffees were faded by the summer of 2013. Still tasted amazing, but virtually zero coffee. I have no clue how other people claim to have "coffee bombs" still.

Numerous friends have had the same exact experience with their 2012's, 2013's, 2014's, etc. After a year and a half, its basically a better-than-average regular BCS.

I opened a 2012 in December. It tasted outstanding. Still plenty of coffee flavor
