I gave Pipeworks a fair shot, ticked essentially all their releases (save a few ones I knew I'd dislike simply on concept alone) for the first like 6 months they were selling bottles. Gave up on them, and didn't buy a single beer until Square Grouper came out, and it was okay super fresh, but still didn't really make me feel any better towards the brand.

Then Lizard King came out.

Hazy? Check.
Sessionable? Check.
Easy to get fresh? Check.

It's like they listened to exactly what I wanted, and then tried their best to make me happy, **** yeah.

International Citrus Units. Please try to keep up.

Bottles to go at those prices? The line should be good for some laughs.

I just don't understand a bar doing to-go bottles, particularly ones like these.

Encourages people who might otherwise stay (and buy food, other beers, etc.) to bounce immediately, notwithstanding the LO dig about the choice to "party with us or your lame ass friends". Yeah, that will stop them.

Also discourages others who would drink in-house from even coming because people will come out of the woodwork and walk right out the door with bottles -- and no limit as far as I can tell.

Of course the first question was "how many can each person buy", to which they responded "first come first serve", whatever the hell that means.

It really doesn't make sense. But to go or not, that line is going to be special. When will the first tent be pitched? So to speak.

ICU's....has anyone actually done legitimate science besides the HF weight per ml. As a fella that's used a decent amount of citrus fruits in beers, I'm yet to find a bundle of limes or any citrus fruit that gave the same potency twice. I mean ever had a bland clementine or a super sour one, how would both of those have the same oil content. I typically zest one from the batch and test it in a tea to see, adjust accordingly. I've made two beers hit the same flavor with 1/3'rd less limes & juice in batch 2.

was sitting on the couch drinking a fist city and playing fallout 4. wife came over with a test batch of our new years punch recipe, which i promptly slammed. then i got up, grabbed the remaining bottle of champagne from the test batch and mixed it 50/50 with my fist city, which my wife dubbed "fist pain" or "fistpagne" or whatever, just pronounce it for the best effect. it was tasty. wife agreed (though she hates hops). like piney champagne.

well, it wasn't champagne, it was $4 cooks, but still.

i'm drunk.

Honestly thinking about it because of that $30 VR. However, here's how it will go. I will take the train down around 1115, see the line is 100 deep, laugh, mutter "**** beer" under my breath and walk back to the train and go home and open a fresh Abrasive and watch football.

Then why bother going at all? Save yourself the time, open an Abrasive and watch football

You just don't get what retail priced BCBS variants do to us FIBs...it's like some force that pulls us towards whatever place is offering it. There's no fighting it.

Cool gif. Sorry I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old at home. I'll try to be a more absentee father so I can raise my ABV game and gain a bunch of weight.

I have beer 1-2 times per week. Should I close my account? Do I not drink enough to be allowed opinions? I'll hang up and take my answer off the air.

Pfft! At least you have an excuse, I'm just a giant pussy for wanting lower ABV beers at home.

You have to realize that Shawn Hill is not only the greatest brewer of our generation, but he is also a maestro of choosing consistent citrus. A true American hero.

Surprised you haven't already with how poorly you take a joke.
