They're currently dating with stickers:

Man, that **** is from March 34th! Dafuq!

I actually tweeted Brickstone about can dating. They replied something like "we are working with our canning distributor so stay tuned" or something like that? Wouldn't they just need an additional piece of equipment on their canning line to date the cans?

Couple of reasons. A, they could be hiring a mobile canning line. B, they could have bought a cheap canning line that doesn't have a built in printjet, bought a used printjet, and are having trouble syncing them (took me just over 2 bottling runs to get mine running properly in time with the line.)

I don't know which is what, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Recommend a shelf turd mead found at Binny's, or at least meaderies to consider or avoid.

Anything B. Nektar, and anything Austrian from the B. United catalog, up to and including the one using Aphid spit. Seriously.

That is ******* disgusting.

What is that green garbage next to the Banquet?

Oh yes. That stuff with the white label. It says "honey dew" but it's bee vomit, not the fruit.

Maybe B since they have a canning line at the production facility and do not use a mobile canning line.

vav - what do those printjet doohickey's cost, I can't imagine they're cheap?

and as an aside while ya'll FIB's drink haterade about local brewers, just north of the border (I consider munster to madison part of the FIB empire) that dude that used to work at binnys made (or was involved in making) two of my favorite beers of the year. granted I love milds, but the vanilla (did someone say blah blah blah) & sumatra cold brew coffee milds are so smooth and lovely. I think if they were here, they'd offset my weekly off color purchases. Now get those SOB's distributed to chicago. so next time in the great north at new glarus, funk factory or whatever spend 8 bucks on some 3rd Sign 4-packs, you wont be disappointed.

But do either of those contain vanilla?

Honestly looking forward to giving vav as much friendly ribbing as I give levifunk. I just have not had the opportunity. Only had time for the Brat Stop last trip north and pickins were slim so I left only with food. Dat pumpkin caramel kringle doe.

Ha.........HA. HA!

The bartender at the Red Star Bar at the Lincoln Park Whole Foods told me on Saturday that they planned to tap a whole series of BCBS & variants (plus "other cool stuff") over the next couple months. The Red Star Bar at the DePaul Whole Foods is where I had the $9 12oz pour of Prop last year.

I'll let you know when I find out details.

$25 for 9oz...HA!

so we hate Solemn Oath, too. got it.

While I think their club is silly, all the beers I've had from them have been decent to good. That said, I never even bother looking at their bottles at stores. All the labels look the same so at a glance its hard to even tell what beers they are. The names are ridiculous, hard to remember, and an odd juxtaposition to their metal brewery art. And why the hell are they still only selling bombers? It's like they saw Pipeworks' success with the all bomber model, tried to mimic it, couldn't get demand up and liquidated their unsold beer to Target to put on the clearance end cap. I just don't get it. Until they sell 4/6 packs I see no reason to buy their beer.
