I was busy the week after Thanksgiving with house stuff so I couldn't hunt. It would be nice to stumble upon a couple more bottles of regular in a suburban shop. I realize how unlikely that is with the distribution plan.

Regular is really good, I was able to get them at Costco thankfully for a little less.
but I found 0 rare around here. Just seems a bit crazy to dump most of them in one location.

It would be really nice to see them hang around

Anyone know a good spot in River North for food and more importantly beer? Got some people in town over the holidays staying down there and I'll be a FIB's uncle if I know any places in RN.

Timothy O'Toole's is good. Jake Melnick's always seems to have a better beer list than it should since it's more of a wings/burgers place (but those wings are legit). Eataly is hit or miss but probably worthwhile - food is good, too. Clark St. Ale House hasn't necessary aged well but is still reliable (no food, though you can bring it in).

Eh, River North is kind of a black hole for anything with great taps. Farmhouse Tavern usually has a solid taplist and good food. River Roast has been known to have good stuff on tap and I also like the food. I've had BBPt5 and BA Darkness 2014 on tap there.

Local 22 on Hubbard always has a pretty decent tap list.
And they have buffalo tater tots.... sooooo ****** good.

Oh, Clark St., how I miss the days of you being one of the few reliable beer joints in the city and drinking imperial pint after imperial pint of Two Hearted on cask...

SAISON **** - any idea where clybourn's at on gift count? (before the snarky peanut gallery chimes in, I already gave 50 bucks worth of gifts, and am sitting on another)
Haha, I actually was there this afternoon. They had both the Terry's Milk Stout and the CranRose. I wouldn't really recommend the Terry's... the CranRose was solid. The Flight Delay Imperial IPA was tasty too.

Hoping to take some toys over to Clybourn tomorrow in case anyone is in the neighborhood. Probably just shooting over for lunch since I have the day off and probably not trying to be around for the bottle release **** show.

Hopefully all the neck beards actually bring toys this year.

I'm planning the same for a late liquid lunch. Missed out on the Big Train release and it has to be on by now. Last tweet was 92 toys donated.

I'm across the country now and haven't been downtown in over a year and a half but unless they moved river north ..... GI Clybourn and Haymarket and others are all in river north, or right next to river north. I always walked, cause I rather spend money on beer and **** but there's a good selection quite close. Au Cheval is river north too.

River north was my favorite place to go , that's why I'm familiar. And I was surprised you didn't get more responses, maybe ppl thought it was obvious enough for a quick google .

While those are all great places, none of them are in River North. I think you are less familiar with River North than you think...

I'm trying to post a picture of the Hero Series in cans, too, but I am failing. They're a little too... I don't know, simple, for my taste? Here's the one for Jukebox - the others are similar but with a different color (and hero, obviously).

ETA:
12/23 - Jukebox Hero, a double dry-hopped black IPA with layers of American hops that shine against a roasty malt backdrop.

12/30 - A Little Crazy, a Belgo-style Pale Ale. Pilsner malts and a tri-hop blend of magnum, cascade, and citra make this a very drinkable and extremely aromatic brew.

1/6 - Civil Unrest, a new imperial IPA dry-hopped with Citra and Galaxy Hero, and Executive Order, an all-malt beast of a brew with honey-like notes.

1/13 - 69 RPM, an American Lager that is light-bodied and quaffable. It has a medium malt bill for the style, and a bit more flavoring hops than traditional American-style lager, and Straight Jacket, a bourbon barrel-aged strong ale to warm your insides in the dead of winter.

1/20 - Winter Woman, an Imperial Brown Ale is a more "full-bodied" version of the Working Woman. Fresh citrusy hop aromatics give way to chocolate and caramel notes on the palate.
