Has anyone in here ever used BCBS to make desserts with?
Or has anyone ever experimented with it in other dishes?

I want to make some BCBS fudge, or something like that... couldnt find anything online really.

Just throwing this post out here. I think I remember someone in here talking about a syrup/concentrate?

BCS works well with fluffy chocolate stuff like cakes and such. I've used it to marinate flank steak in place of worsted hire sauce which worked well. Also works well in baked beans.

Somewhat related at my wedding I had 3 plates of ice cream sandwiches, each with a different vintage of dark lord.

tinypyramids Ice cream recipe, yo.

http://billybrew.com/beer-ice-cream

do the above recipe but add a vanilla bean once the custard cools down. use bcbs for the beer. warning that the ice cream will not be super firm even after extended freezing due to the high alcohol content.

also, one of my favourite beer nights was a bottle share at the beer temple at which someone made bourbon county cupcakes which i topped with my bourbon county ice cream. which we then forced john laffler to eat.

DID SOMEONE SAY VANILLA

(Okay I'm done, I swear. Maybe I will research how to build a twitter bot that responds to every brewery with that if they tweet about a beer with vanilla in it.)
One of better gags since "what the **** is Hailstorm?!"

Which means I can't wait for the next release of this one:
Vlad the Second (Order of the Dragon) Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout With Vanilla Beans

Awww... You're making me blush ;)

Marz has another winner with Earl Olaf. The price is probably too high but it's a very nice fruity, vanilla heavy wheat wine. Going to be a very nice sipper while putting up the tree tonight.

I made these once

I thought they turned out good but you can ask match1112 what he thought.

Thanks for the recipe, they came out really well!

Ill make another batch for the next Transient party, maybe ill finally get to meet you haha

This recipe is perfect. The fudgey cupcakes and the bourbon and vanilla from the icing creates an experience something like drinking a glass 2015 BCBS.... They paired really well with BCBS

Dunt since you questioned my FIB skills, I felt the need to tell you, I relieved a Detroit area store of their Pretty Things.
Oh and balled out at the Schramm's auction.

Can I have my FIB card back?

I spent over $1,000.00 on Schramms and David Yurman today, I hate my life.

Maybe it was ********, maybe it was not but there was some **** in the CCBE that posted 34 bottles of Rare.

Da ****?

I can't find it anymore, but I think this was the guy who made a world's-smallest-violin thread in CCBE awhile back letting everyone know he was getting out of the craft game. A very difficult decision, but had to do it for himself and family.

Followed by like 100 responses from well-wishers expressing actual sympathy.

Glad to see it worked out.

In that case, has anyone just tried adding a little cold brewed coffee to BCBS? I gave up on the french press awhile back.

Also curious. After this year's BCBCS just not being my jam, I want to add some Stumptown Cold Brew to some BCBS and see what happens.

Yup. Same guy.

He was putting his entire cellar up for sale and asking for offers, said he was out of beer for good. Sounded like it was causing relationship problems, he just had a son. Then a few weeks or months later he was back at it in the trade groups looking for stuff.

I have no idea what happened, but after he was back at it I noticed all profile pictures/cover photos that included his wife were deleted from Facebook... did he choose beer over his marriage. I probably should not be speculating since I really don't know. Just an observation.

If you could get it to retain enough carbonation I think it would be interesting to brew a cold brew batch with beer instead of water. No clue how it would turn out though.

Should have gone for the long con...save the marriage, have more kids, acquire more mules.

there's a few places that have sumptown on nitro on draft. I went to stans donuts in lakeview (pretty average donuts IMO) and got sumptown on nitro and told em to hold the ice. blended it with some backwoods bastard, neckbeard necter and some of my own....and was quite please with the results. hold the ratio of around 12 to 15% coffee.

Hold the ice..... Who puts nitro stumptown on ice?!? It's supposed to be served cellar temp like a cask ale.

Google, "Allagash Chocolate Stout Cake". Replace the 'gash with BCBS. RICH AF.

Also, here's a recipe for chili that I made three weeks ago using BCBS. I called it Drunken Rudolph chili.

1 lb venison
1 lb beef
1 onion chopped
1 large can of puréed tomatoes.
1 tap cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne powder
¼ c maple syrup
1 tsp hot sauce
1 tsp bourbon
1 tsp chili powder
1.5 tsp roasted red pepper
1 12oz bottle of high ABV stout (I used BCBS)

Brown meat. Strain fat from meat. Add all other ingredients in a separate pot or crock pot. Simmer on stove or on low setting of a Crock Pot for at least 6 hours, stirring occasionally.

you know who puts it on ice....someone that makes donuts and serves drip coffee to lincoln park/lakeview mommys that want a dunkin donuts styled iced coffee. dark matter sometimes has stuff on nitro proper but its kinda few and far between.

Awesome! Thank you for the tip.

I've known him since grade school. He and his wife are still together. Still not sure what caused the worlds smallest violin post. Also, that's not his haul. He put together several peoples hauls to take that picture to rustle the collective facebook jimmies.
