What are you guys pouring?
good question, outside of some summer odds n ends (citrus saison, apricot wit) maybe I'll grab the new grisette we made. the salted scotch I dont think will be ready by then, still too boozy, but I'll see friday. I got a green saison in my closet made with spirulina algae & green tea that I think is too weird for public consumption (or the public that aint professional yogi's or yuppies on smoothie diets)

I'll take a 12oz sample bottle of the green saison please.

Release it as a TB exclusive?

it was an attempt to make an ecto cooler saison (which tired hands just did in the meantime much to my chagrin). got the nectarine & coriander to make a nice taste but trying to get the color of fantome's magic ghost without using green dye woodruff syrup. powdered green tea & wheatgrass wouldnt suspend. spirulina was the only thing that really worked but its algae and has this weird taste. I think I'm spiking with some lacto/brett combo to kill that mild fishy taste with some age.

Just serve it in Wrigleyville bars on St. Patrick's day. No one will notice.

I will drink it.

I always thought it was that tuft of hair in between normal people's eyebrows. Can't have a unibroue without it! Get it?!? Hahahhaah...

Are you going? I want to go for the beer, but have a very strong aversion to spending anything more than 5 minutes in any sort of line. Maybe I'll just go straight to the taproom...

Absolutely not.

Would never wait in line for a $10, 8% pale ale/IPA. Tap room and a howler to go.

Tickets will be going on sale for MBA members at 11am on Monday, November 9th, and we will be sending the password at 10am that same day. General public tickets will go live at noon.

Just wait till Friday Nov. 13th when 18th Street is releasing BA Hunter bottles.......at 9am.
But I think most people take Friday the 13th off as a holiday anyway, right?
How will people with tickets for the Rare release get BA Hunter then!?!

#newmoneyproblems

(I totally put in for Rare tix, by the way. Because I'm a hypocrite and a bad person.)

Let's go down the rabbit hole here, because on its face, this actually might be actually be a "good" deal in the 2015 beer world.

Assumptions:
- BCBS is $10/bottle, BCBCS and BCBB is $15/bottle, Regal Rye and Prop is $30/bottle, and Rare is $60/bottle.
- You get 2 oz. of each
- Snifter is $15

You are getting, at MSRP, $18.93 of beer ($1.18+$1.78+$1.78+$3.55+$3.55+$7.10, all without tax added). So let's assume it is likely about double that when you buy it in a bar, let's round that up to about $35 for the 12 oz.

Add in the snifter ($15) and the bottle of Prop ($30), you're right at the $80 mark.

Not going to the event, don't plan on trying to get tickets, but there is the justification right there for the 10% of folks out there not planning on flipping that bottle of Prop for ZOMGMEGAWHALEZBRO.

Plus don't discount the good pairing's they provide with the beers, and the ability to ask questions of the brewers / marketing folks.

I've been every year they do it and I have a good time (especially if you are down at LP Binnys for BCS anyways).
