OVO Jordan restock and some other restocks like the lux AJ1 I believe. Also the Hebru Brantley collab?

Do people hire mules to stand in line like beer releases?

Oh absofuckinglutely they hire homeless mules. Sneaker reselling is a gigantic ass business and shoe head stupidity far outpaces beer stupidity. As far as I know nobody has been held up at gunpoint at Binny's on Black Friday.

I've been a nike head for as long as I remember and there are actually a lot of similarities with what's going on in beer right now like ever rising prices, constant complaints about decreasing product quality, endless releases and the constant #fomo, buying **** just to trade/resell, etc.

l could go on forever.

Oodles of Surly Wet cans and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Arrogant Bastard sixers at the Elston Target, for those who give a rat's ass about either. They were piled up on a hidden rack jammed across a checkout aisle toward the electronics side of the store.

I grabbed a pack of Wet, but didn't bother with the other one.

constant complaints about decreasing product quality

I was under the impression (speaking from someone who doesn't know a damn thing about the sneaker game) that only a very small percentage of people actually wore the shoes bought in store, and mostly everyone in line just bought them to resell, which would make this complaint essentially a moot point. Based on this though, that perspective seems incorrect.

Yeah, no one wants great local beer anymore anyways. Give us untested beer brewed 2,000 miles away any time.
it was a joke but I was kinda blown away when I ventured into their quasi-desert methy clientele brewpub earlier this year. (my wife spotted a pregnant woman enjoying a 5 beer sampler) I'm just surprised like every brewery thats something in their neck of the woods is entering the chicago market. but ultimately they're kegs only and I know this town that prefers glass, aluminum & the hunt.

Now if only Superstition would distribute to Chicago.

Looks like The Open Bottle posted a picture with a new large format Off Color bottle. Maybe it's Whiskers. I don't know. I'm behind on my label art futures. Figured some folks might want to know that a new one is beginning to see the light.

That's Jerkbird and not Whiskers as an FYI.

Hubbard's Cave imperial vanilla stout is really impressive. I have no idea who they are, but color me intrigued on their future.

Has anyone had the Dragon's Milk Reserve - "triple mash" one that's 14%? Is it worth grabbing? Untappd seems positive. I find the regular DM a serviceable BA beer so curious about this one.

Drinking it right now and it's really damn good. Definitely snag a bottle or a few.

It's got the body that regular DM is lacking with good heat and balanced barrel character.
