I would also like to point out that the brilliant hive mind at BA is questioning whether or not the Heaven Hill barrels ever had bourbon in them as well as whether or not Heaven Hill makes decent bourbon in the first place. It's like they assume there's some ******* conspiracy.

Funk Factory bottles sold out in 8 minutes.

If you feel like getting up in the fray, tread lightly and try not to ruin things for people who aren’t complete dipshits yet. Thankfully the Funk Factory and Rare Day fanboy penumbra does not intersect as of late.

Here you go:

Everyone can blame Ddb for ruining yet another brewery.

Tried Ryeway to Heaven at the taproom last night. Glad I tried it before buying any bottles - not much of a fan. Rye on top of Rye gives it a bitterness that was a bit unpleasant on the finish. Great mouthfeel, nice nose, good color, etc., just not my favorite - could barely finish the 9 oz pour (or whatever it was). Anyone else have any thoughts?

I think you're a smidge away from giving up on 99% of big bottles and joining me in the glorious land of Aintgivafuckistan.

Aintgivafuckistan? Is that that magical place I've heard mentioned in song, where the streams burble with Workingman Mild, and tree branches hang so heavy with ice-cold Vallejo cans you can just reach right up and grab them? I'd like to go there some day.

Lincoln Park Costco has regular Speedway for $10.39...only 60 cents less than other places, but if you're there picking up TP and rotisserie chicken anyway, worth grabbing if you're a fan.

And for those born without tastebuds, they have Pumking for $5.59.

I noticed on the Penrose website you can find the details for the Wild 18 collab with 18th Street. It's being released Nov 14th and they're having a ticketed brunch event that will guarantee a certain allotment along with something like 6 different Wild ales being tapped. I don't plan on being beer functional the day after Rare Day but figured I'd pass it along. Here's the link with the beer info: http://penrosebrewing.com/beer/detail/wild-xviii Honestly, it sounds like a mess to me. I'm not saying it has no potential or that there won't be a subset of folks excited for it. I'm just not one of them.

I'm 4 beers away from some fellowship...if it went to those dudes, im gonna be miffed
