Damn. They sounded cool too. Definitely different than the others in the city.

Yeah, they are definitely doing some unique stuff and it keeps getting better. They've been barrel aging their apple brandy and grappa pretty much since they've opened. It's all a learning process, I think Une Annee is aging a saison in one of their barrels...
 
I almost forgot that I finally have a #newmoney story. I've got a buddy who is friends with Bob at Beer Bistro. CBS lasted a grand total of 14 minutes last night and the place was packed.

My buddy then texted me that Bob doesn't think Vanilla Rye at BBNorth will last past 12:30, so I responded by saying there's no way it lasts past 11:45. I'll give it 45 minutes only because it is the AM.

I actually decided to try something new last night, and picked up a bottle of Only Child Brewing's Pinot Noir BA Farmhouse Le Perfectionneste .....and I gotta say I was quite impressed, it reminded me a lot of GI Sofie.
 
To be fair, some of them range from solid to good. Imperial Blud was pretty tasty.

Still don't get this new wave of stuff. Seems like everyone is automatically programmed to line up for anything that is announced on the Facebooks or wherever.

Hell, ******* Breakfast Stout qualifies as both "solid" and "good". The **** is going on around here?

Good to hear. I picked up a bottle of that recently. Will have to open it up soon.
