Still don't get this new wave of stuff. Seems like everyone is automatically programmed to line up for anything that is announced on the Facebooks or wherever.

Hell, ******* Breakfast Stout qualifies as both "solid" and "good". The **** is going on around here?
So much this...

So when did Revolution Kedzie turn into a 200 person madhouse on Saturdays? Still had a good time as we got a couch to hang out on while watching Killer Clowns from Outer Space, but was a surprise to me as usually the place would be busy but not crowded.

Also as an FYI was told there was only 6 bottles left of Straight Jacket for the night, but assuming they just didn't want to grab any more from the cooler while it was so crazy inside.

Also the Piece Honey Butter Fried Chicken is absolutely worth heading over for before the month's out.

This news makes me sad.

Van Damme, it's Friday.

Always reminds me of sitting in a cubical hungover at 22

I actually decided to try something new last night, and picked up a bottle of Only Child Brewing's Pinot Noir BA Farmhouse Le Perfectionneste .....and I gotta say I was quite impressed, it reminded me a lot of GI Sofie.

Had this last weekend, thought it was actually quite good

The root beer craze seems to be over, too. At least the 6 pack version is. Cases sitting on the floor at my local Binny's and about the same at at least one other shop by me.

Just killed an SJ. I called it when they first released it but it's true: this is a half-step below God-Tier. So. Good.

Just wait til they bottle the tap-turd 19.5%

The race will be on again.

We should keep it that way on the off chance they decide to make good beer again.
Won't happen. The owners want it to be the 'neighborhood' brewery. Meaning tons of Gandy Dancer Honey ale for their friends, average bar food, and no beer geeks.

Good for them. My first real ****** beer experience was at the release for the 2nd batch of BA Hi-Fi. The crowd ended up being bigger than they expected so they dropped allocation from 6 to 4 and the very loud bitching started. Then after people started getting their bottles, a friend jumped on ebay (when they were still "allowing" sales of bottles) and saw one go for $75. The pic in the posting was literally shot in the parking lot.

And remember that was, what, 3 years ago? If I'm a brewery that had that type of experience before #newmoney, I'd probably be content to cater to locals, too.

Honey Butter Fried Chicken pizza!? My god...

I'm laughing more at the guy that thought FiftyFifty's brewery name was actually Eclipse. So ******* #newmoney.

It may as well be as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for the suggestions here last week. Burger at GI Clybourn was delicious. Cask conditioned ales were very cool to try, and Extremely Naughty Goose tasted like a sweet toffee bourbon drink. Very bourbon forward but really interesting. HQ Beercade was a big time hit as well. Had no idea the games were free. Lots of TMNT & Wrestlefest. Nice draft list and great cans. Random note though: if you're looking for something completely off the wall, hilarious, and entertaining (also cheap) to kill a few hours of a bachelor party, go to an Indy wrestling show. They brought our bachelor into the ring for a promo and everything. They let us in the ring for a few minutes after the show too. Outstanding stuff.
