I was a little underwhelmed by Yum Yum, but it's certainly better then Jinx Proof so I wouldn't mind if it stuck around. I hate nothing more than heading into a place that says "KEG OF THREE FLOYDS!!! ASK SERVER!!" and then finding out it's a keg of Jinx Proof.

i don't find jinx proof to be a bad beer, but great lakes dortmunder is so ******* good i don't know why anyone else even tries.

GRIMM VICAR BOTTLE RELEASE:
We're pleased to announce our next small batch bottle release, Grimm Vicar--A Belgian Style Dark Abbey with deep mahogany color, rich fruit and spice aroma, subtle bourbon character with a rich malt body. Aged 10 months in red wine barrels and bourbon barrels.

Bottles will be available for purchase starting Tuesday September 16th at 6:30 pm. Limit one bottle per person ($25 plus tax). We would like as many people as possible to be able to enjoy it at home.

I don't think it's bad either, just my least favorite regular FFF beer. Agreed on Dortmunder, so good.

Imperial Stout aged in a 2nd use Heaven Hill bourbon barrel (10-16 years) that was previously used to aged barrel-aged Manhattan cocktails (composed of Weller 107 Bourbon, Punt e Mes Italian Vermouth and Angostura bitters) for The Violet Hour

i had bcbs manhattan at the beer temple's grand opening. it was quite unique. you can really taste the vermouth. not necessarily a fave variant, but definitely worth the tick.

It was a GI sponsored event as part of Migration Week. It was definitely cinnamon. Still listed on Roman's website as of this morning.

The 25th Anniversary thing last year, which was held in the same block-style, was the most poorly run event I've ever experienced by far. And the fact that they still have tickets for sale for this party indicates to me that they haven't changed the one thing they needed to: attendance. Those tapping times are worthless if it takes over an hour just to get to the front of the line for them.

According to Untappd everyone loved "that coconut" So.......... Someone also commented on how good the touch of raspberry in it was. People's palates are so fine tuned these days

According to the Tribune release, it was made with cinnamon, sugar, and coconut water. I didn't get any coconut, but I did get cinnamon. Perhaps my palate is ***** too.

Maybe the raspberry comment should have been directed at Backyard. That was still pretty tasty IMO.

The also poured a bottle of Rare right at 5pm. Everyone got like a tablespoon. From that wee taste, glad I just traded my last Rare. Not bad, but really only worth the tick at this point versus Regular Bourbon County.

I'd be surprised if Roman's isn't one of their longest running accounts. He probably signed up the minute they started distributing to WI, which is probably about the time they started distributing outside the brewpub.

Yeah, punchcards.

I was about 150th or so in line when they opened. They had the "rare" booth near there, so people rushed into line, to the point where nobody other than my friend and I decided to see what else was available. Destihl sours! That Off Color "peasant stout!" After 20 minutes we wandered back to the rare booth to see that instead of 150 people, it was now significantly longer. 30 minutes later, no line was moving, the rare booth was a mass of hundreds, and we got out of there. Awful.
