there was another "block party" the following fall, but i didn't hear a thing about that one. i can only hope it was run a lot better than the 25th anni event.

So, now that it's not punch cards and just GA, and the tap list looks decent although we've all had most of it, it's a $10 gamble to see how much of a mess it's going to be. And we don't know how much pours are going to be. Anyone know more than this?

Yeah, I asked because I thought there were 2 "block parties" last year, with the "shitshow" one being when the weather was nicer - i.e., not in the middle of September.

Not going to stand in line an hour for a chance at Bramble, et al

The 25th anniversary block party was a disaster. The September 2013 block party "rare" tappings was similar to the way it was run at the Sunday Funday event. Lines were much more manageable and they came around with pitchers of beer filling people's cups up in line. I think they figured it out after the 25th anniversary one.

Seeing some check-ins at Belgian Fest, kind of disappointed I didn't go this year. Last year was just so bad...for those there consider yourselves lucky!

Kind of makes sense I guess...keep the lager in the lineup.
Wonder if they'll keep the 2 case limit on Yum Yum this Thursday? I'd imagine people will be getting at it all day.

I ******* love Jinx Proof. Goodbye P&J!

I thought the note about how they originally brewed Pride and Joy to be served on the hand pump at 50 degrees was interesting. Guess it'll go back to its original form soon and you can be one of three people that still buy Jink Proof :p

Annica is making it's return to HA this Friday, but unfortunately they won't be filling growlers/howlers of it. You're stick with $9.99 bombers or $6 drafts only.

Are you going to be there on Friday by chance? I'm going to be in town for Erik's wedding and was thinnking about taking the fiance to HA Friday evening.

I am not, I actually have a wedding of an old college roommate (which is why I wont be at Erik's wedding).

Am I the only one not invited to Erik's wedding (whoever he is)? I suppose my invite is in the mail :p

Looks like I'm heading to Lansing on the 21st. Hoping to at least snag a bottle of that HPF honey saison as well as my allocation. Wonder how early they open. I sent Chris an email asking what the hours will be that day.

Did you ever hear back on the hours for Sunday? Thanks!

Nope. Sent another email yesterday asking of the hours and if he'd have any beer on tap or just bottle pickup. Either way I'm still planning on getting over there sometime Sunday. It'd be nice to know if I'm flying solo or could ask somebody if they want to tag along. If I ever hear back, I'll post it here.

1800 W. Fulton
Chicago, Illinois.
Remember that address, because in a few months we will finally have an onsite tap room and will be offering public brewery tours at our production brewery. Demolition started today and our employees got to take the first swings. We'll keep you up to date on the progress as the raw space starts to look like a place you want to drink.
