I still haven't seen it, or read the book. I think it's because i was incredibly bitter about how they changed the narrative of BCBS/Black Friday in the Perozzi/Recipe book. Is it worth seeing?

I'd watch it here when you have time as you know more of these people than I do I'm sure, and while it's obviously a very highly romanticized version of the history of BCS, I found it well worth my time. Even better when consuming some Bourbon County while watching.

This versions doesn't have the last few chapters that were shown last evening that I referenced, but I believe they are out there somewhere on Youtube.

Here you go.

Anyone listen to dontdrinkbeer Malt Couture with Laffler on as the guest last week? Great show if you enjoy the musings of Laffler.

About 55 minutes in, he referenced a Chicago brewer who accidentally sanitized a tank with chocolate extract instead of sanitizer. He didn't tell the story or reveal who it was but all I could think of was

“I’ll do anything I’ll even sanitize the tanks”
“That’s the last thing you get to do”

sounds like an intentional mikerphone beer...assuming the name would be 'sometimes yr chocolate just sanitizes me'

No mention yet of Shaun Berns leaving More? Saw lots of good discussion/speculation on FB.
Interesting move...I get leaving and goin yr own but contract brewing and self-distro is a ****** hustle. I think the three hop butcher dudes all still have other jobs. Be interesting to see the area’s appetite for another 20 dollar 4-pack of similar tasting stuff hitting the shelves weekly. Seems folks on FB & BA are jazzed so I’m sure they’ll be fine but what a nightmare to start that hustle. Side question, can someone explain to me the appetite for the weekly variations on a theme haze drops?

How else can you get the weekly out of distro haze unless you have weekly local haze available to trade for it?

Interestingly he (along with the manager there) were sure to announce their departure before financing was finalized for the new Huntley brewery More has been planning. I guess to give them the option of backing out. Sounds like their expansion plans were not in line with what Shaun wants to do. I think he wants to see more beer in distro

Especially one that sells pizzas and tinned fish, straight dollar, dollar bills, y'all...
So much dollar bill that one member of the team sits in a cubicle 5 days a week wasting his time on talkbeer dreaming of the day he can quit half assing two jobs.

That Sabro Crush I had at the Bungalow the other day was awesome.
Digging the classic hop vibes on that new [insert literally any hop name] crush. Not to be confused with the art brut series featuring [insert literally any hop nane] brut.jokes aside, Sabros a cool hop if you dig classic C flavors.

On a side note, I left all you kids a little something on Saturday. Hopefully, Pete didn't drink them all...

Maybe if the brewpub was open 7 days a week instead of 6 so that when I show up on a Tuesday evening with my ~3 year old on a dad-son dinner, then you could have my money instead of Rev?

Or I could have just looked at the hours before making the drive out there but honestly it's easier to just assume you just don't want my money.

I went to the Homewood (OG) Aurelio's last night for the first time in a long time and *******, that might be the best pizza I've ever had. It's a shame they've branched out so far and are wildly inconsistent from location to location. OG Aurelio's gets a 10/10. Right there with Pequod's.

Figured I'd post this here as all of the people who know good pizza would see it.

gimme dat sweet sauce. one of the vision board components of our sauce (2/3'rds of middle brow worked at the only acceptable location outside homewood, tinley). Palermo's 95 & OG aurelios are like the hazy IPA version of pizza sauce.
