I heard some beer nerd took it upon himself to hand out numbered tickets and prevent cutting. Completely independent of Half-Acre staff.
Is this the year when someone finally gets assaulted during one of these beer releases? I can imagine someone not giving a **** about a DIY numbering system and jumping the line anyway.

Also makes me wonder if beeraficionado 's prediction will hold out.

At peace with missing Transient Neckbeard bundle. At peace with missing both Prop Day and Black Friday here in Chicago.

Hell, I bet I'll get more BCS than everyone here just walking into Total Wine in Vegas next Friday AM..

All that said.. man, I love that Benthic.. Might be time to break out that spare BCS 2013 poster and try and get some of those bottles.

I had no idea Neckbeard would sell out. I didn't even check until you posted this. I saw it yesterday and figured I'd just place my order when I do some online shopping tonight. Oh well. Folks dropping an entire paycheck on stout over the next 8 days I guess: Rev, HA, Transient, BCBS, and assorted others. Maybe I'll find a Resurgam on a shelf this weekend.

Fairly confident the bundles have sold out each year but the Cellar still has them on the shelf for days/weeks after.

What kind of timeline do we live in where Coolship Red is on tap at Parlor Pizza Bar in the West Loop?

It’s the same kinda world where I had St. Lamvinus Grand Cru & HF Arthur on tap for over a week. There’s so much now unless you’re screaming it, no one will hear you, and no one looks for stuff on their own.

How did you hear they have it? Did they advertise it?

Nothing to my knowledge except for a blurb about it in the Tribune.

Damn, I knew I should have popped in for some charcuterie and to check the leftovers from the anniversary party. Hell I live a block away. Shame, shame, shame.

I think they still have Neckbeard Nectar on the shelf from last year, the barrel aged is probably long gone though.

Which spot has Arthur and do you think will it still be on Sunday.

Hey, all. Super random question. I'm heading into Chicago next week for Thanksgiving and will have very limited time to do BCBS-related activities (probably for the best). My mother-in-law plays piano at rotating Mariano's, so we will most likely go to one of them to see her play--do they ever get any BCBS variants on draft? Also, I'll be in the South Loop. Thanks and Go Bears (maybe we'll see a J. Howard resurgence???).

You blew my mind by saying the St Lam Grand Cru was kegged, let alone made it stateside.

Only a handful of kegs came over.

You're giving us these sweet sweet airport mealhacks but no lambic crumbs for the TB friends?

Ok one thank you for this, and two i update the menus on the website daily (i haven't done it yet today) so technically the info IS out there, but like i said, disco stu etc.

I wish Lambic Doux had a Twitter feed for updates :(

I thought about updating it on the menu to reflect whatever it is, but it changes so frequently i don't want to keep stamping and reprinting menus every few days if i can help it, ****'s expensive.

just switch to iPad menus ;)

don't actually do this, they are the worst

Update from 15 mins ago via their twitter feed:

But why?! Everything except Deth: Currant is seeing distribution.

Don't get me wrong, both cafe and Deth are excellent, I just do not understand waiting several hours on a cold day for something that you'll be able to walk into beer stores to pick up next week.

FOMO? I mean, BCS sees distribution but that doesn't necessarily make it easy to find.

The first guy in line drove down from northern Wisconsin (according to earlier tweets). Maybe these beers won't make it up to where he lives?
