Andrew WK for Rev's 5th Year?

Crimson Snapper, the one new Pipeworks beer I actually wanted to try in forever, sold out at Binny's Oak Brook in 8 Minutes. 8. Minutes. Are people really chasing PW vans now?

Doesn't surprise me, but I doubt it was 8 minutes, probably was tweeted out late and it had been on the shelf for awhile. I live about 5 minutes from this Binnys and everything is always sold out by the time I can swing by there after work around 4:30. If you're in the area Treebs try Sal's in Elmhurst or maybe even Ardmore Station, things tend to last a little longer at Sal's and they probably have the same PW delivery day as the OB Binnys.

My thoughts exactly, this one sounded tasty to me and I was hoping I could stroll in and pick one up. #newmoney says otherwise.

Yeah I'm going to try both tomorrow to see. Those are my second and third sports to go to if Binny's is sold out of whatever I'm looking for.

Eh it's part of the Square Grouper collective so expecting to waltz into a store whenever to pick is up is unrealistic.

Edit: And by whenever I mean 10 minutes after it is delivered (apparently)

Why did they abandon the all you eat all you can drink theme? This was always one of the best parties now we pay to see Andrew WK with zero drinks included?
Two reasons, as I understand it -- the brewery is undergoing a massive expansion and so there's no room to have a party and the Man cracked down about not having the proper permits for events involving sale of food/booze/music.

ya that rev party used to have it all, beer, food pairings, some rarish taps though-out the event, great music, not overcrowdeed, and you get a bottle and a glass to go home. Now we get that dude that says party in all his songs and none of that other stuff. I doubt the sticky ass floored riv will even allow for some of that killer jerky I think will made. #bummed

Yeah this sucks. Last years party was my favorite of the year and I was hoping to relive that again. No food and a headliner I don't give a **** about doesn't bode well for this years festivities. Oh well, I should know by now that when it comes to the Chicago beer scene nothing gold can stay.

Jerry's lineup is choice right now, one of the very few bars that remains unscathed. 6 bottles of bcbcs bombers last time I was there.
Unfortunately it's just a matter of time before people catch on.
But I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!

jerry's put on a killer bell's expedition vertical and BA third coast w/quince tapping which also saw cuvee de tomme, framboise de amorosa, and others. not a #newmoney in sight.

Hopleaf might be the most crowded ice ever seen it. There is usually 10 people in here on a monday. #Newmoney has ruined everything.

you expected a quiet monday night after hopleaf promoted the **** out of their CBS tapping?

Gone are the days of the $5 half pours of BCS in the upstairs bar at Hopleaf all year round. Now are the days of #newmoney paranoia, I wonder if they've even heard of Black Biscuit? I once had a 1/6 barrel of both Black Biscuit and CBS, those were the days...

Oooooh ****, I totally forgot about Black Biscuit. That was my second favorite to Cashew Mountain Brown.

Sad part is, Founders has no recollection of how they blended black biscuit.

When I first heard that I thought the person was mistaking Black Biscuit for a Kuhnhenn beer. Pretty sad realizing it was actually true and we'll probably never see it again.
