FFB Veteran League - HBT Challenge!

You know, I went to go look at my team this morning, and it was saying that the draft was still going on. The only way I could see the players that it looked like I had picked was to filter - somewhere else on the system - for the players on my team. I remember there were only five - Joseph Addai, Maurice Jones-Drew, Antonio Gates, TO (dammit), and Randy Moss (dammit).

I tried to get in last night after I woke up, the draft must have still been going, but I couldn't connect. I know I had tested the system, the draft board came up, it just wasn't loading the data.

So what, am I going to get a mulligan here?

I've got to get to work- rdwj, I don't even know if Dude, Desert, Todd, etc, know about this. Can you PM them and see if they can give you some advice? We were all there last night except for Boston and Bird and if they knew about this, I'm sure they'd be in here.

One more thought- could you change the draft for say, Saturday night, and then we'd have time to get together and pick a different date/time, so there is no rush? Bernie mentioned that he had to work at 4:00 Am today, so he'll be gone all day for sure and wouldn't know about this either.

Boston went first, and his autopick was LT. I was second, Desert was third, I think and Cheese was next. Your team sucked bad, btw. Boston's was pretty good.

And getting friggin' LT; that'll make ANY team look pretty damn good.

ok, here is what I did. I set a new draft date for the same time next week because there is no way everyone is going to get this figured out by 6:30 today. I think it's only fair to give people the teams they drafted last night if at all possible and if anyone has a complete draft record, I will spend the time entering everyone's team. If worst comes to worst, I'd manually enter the draft order, we lose a week of scoring and redraft.

Sorry about this guys, can't think of anything else to do. I'll be back later to check up on everything.

Me too, but I didn't want to screw everyone that didn't hear the news before 6. Like I said, I'm willing to set everyone's teams if someone has a recording of the draft picks. If I had known something like this was possible, I would have recorded it myself.

What really sucks is that we all have each others strategies.

In all fairness, I suggest we re-draft on Friday or Saturday night, around midnight to 1:00am CST. We should all be good and drunk by then and incapable of gaming each others picks.

Rod, how about after school? We all know it'll be late, but exactly how late are we talking? Do you have a laptop that you could bring into class to draft? I'm up for staying up a little later tonight. Last night went WAY faster than my second draft.

Well, I just looked at the times available. The 11th is the first date there are any draft times available. So, if we want to have week one scoring, we need to either recreate the draft and enter it ourselves or autodraft.

So, by the end of today, we need to decide if we should:

• Draft same time next week - Tuesday
• Recreate the draft tonight - I'll be home about 10 pm central and we can do it in chat.
• Autodraft tonight

I'll send out email via the league message board alerting everyone to voice their opinion here today. I'll do whatever the majority wants.

Bird - as a Mod, can you send IMs to a group? It would be a huge PITA to do it individually.

Hmm...I think they should be posted, so that anyone who makes an error has the benefit of their list being reviewed by others prior to everything getting messy.

I barely remember all my picks. I did a draft right after this one and it lasted 3 hours. Everyone looks familiar!

No idea anyone beyond that; it showed me five players, nothing else. When I go back to where I was, the data doesn't show up (presumably because the draft date got reset).

Can anyone confirm if those guys make sense as actually being my picks? They seem right, given where I was drafting; I was picking fifth, and Addai was ranked either forth or fifth by Yahoo!

Any you know, if my team sucks, f*ck it; it'll be fun anyway.

But that's a re-draft for you. Only way to do this fairly is to re-draft.

If every other team is re-contructed, we'd only be picking from the players that no one else had claimed. It's not like I'd be able to grab LT and Peyton Manning; it would be two players who were originally taken in round 6, two players from round 7, etc....
