Morning all - I am wanting to attempt a brut IPA soon. I am torn between White Labs Ultra Ferm or FermFast Glucoamylase. I believe the two to be the same product minus WL being liquid.

Are these two products the same and will either work for brewing a Brut style IPA?

I have used fermfast with great success (in fermenter). Lhbs was out last weekend so had to pay 5x the price for whitelabs. I am adding tomorrow (one week post pitch and with the dry hops). Will report back.

Typically I add around 1.010 and within a day it's 1.00 add next day .996. that's at 5g in around 6 gallons. We will see how WL works.

i just buy the stuff by the pound from brewhaus.....add like 12g's to a 10 gal batch with the yeast pitch....get 1.000

just plain gluco, no branding to pay for...
