Im honestly a bit bummed that we are a week or two away and they still dont have any various angle images of the new product yet.

We're all excited about this :) Just remember that this is a presale. If they don't have the lids yet, they really can't make a video showing the product in actual working form. I have no doubt that they will have a brew day on day one :mug:

Just tried to order the accessory kit (didn't NEED the extra collector ball, but since it would've been the same price no matter what, I figured I might as well!) Unfortunately when I clicked "submit" I got a "404 Not Found" error on the confirmation page. I have emailed Fast Ferment to let them know about it and make sure that they got my order. Hopefully they did, but I thought I"d let everyone here know.

I got the same thing but got an email right after clicking that my order has been received

Well i got a reply from them about the thermowell, and honestly i think it turned me off buying one.

They are using brass thermowells that are molded in, which presumably means you cant replace them with Stainless.

Why would they use brass? In fermenting liquid i thought that was a big no no, even if its lead free brass i dont want it.

Honestly if its not Stainless(like their video stated btw) i'd rather they just leave it out all together. I would just drill another hole in the lid and drop a thermowell down that way like we all do it now. Also i am not entirely sure what they mean by molded in, i assume that means molded into the plastic itself which means not removable, which means PITA to clean.

So we know if the thermowell is in contact with the brew or is there plastic between the copper and brew? This deserves a follow up...

Hi Everyone,

The pre-sale has ended (we are changing the pop-up this weekend)

The price only went up to $100 plus $10 shipping for the US & $20 for Canada

We just launched our accessory page as well

All the info can be found here:

http://thefastrack.ca/main/ff_accessories

We had an issue with the confirmation page - All the orders came through the final page just had an issue. It has all been fixed now. Thanks to the guys who emailed us and pointed it out right away. It was very helpful.

Shoot me an email with any other questions: [email protected]

Enjoy your weekends!

Well turns out the brass thermowell is removable to put in a stainless one which is nice.

But still cant buy one until i actually see a photo of what it looks like to see if my existing thermowells from Brewershardware will work.

Ordered my two stands tonight! Can't wait to get this stuff. I held off on the thermometers in case the ones I have will work, and held off on the carrying strap to build my own. Other than that, I am dying to get this! So much easier to use than buckets and carboys.

I will post a picture of mine when I get it for you. I am not affiliated with them, but I think they are doing a great job making changes to the product from our feedback. For me, the Thermowell is not a big deal right now, but I can understand how it can be a deal breaker for some.

I will try and do a write up on my first use for everyone, and I hope others do as well.

I will probably plug the thermowell. This fermenter will be in my fermentation chamber(closet) and I have a digital thermometer on it. I'm not concerned with the exact beer temp that much.

Once I get the fermenter I'll take some measurements and make my own stand.

Anyone find a reasonably priced ss thermowell?

I dont think they get much better than Bobby_M over at Brewershardware.com, i think $12 is a reasonable price.

Although im worried my straightwall thermowell's wont work and ill have to buy a weldless one.

Shipping on the 22nd.. Hoping to brew on Friday! Cant wait to fill 1 of 2 up with sweet, sweet wort!

I am just being patient and forgetting about it so when it comes I feel like a kid on Christmas!!! I really think these things are going to be great. No more secondary fermenters and very easy yeast harvesting!

I hope this isnt delayed (again?), orders were supposed to start shipping 3 days ago :(

This $100 gift card is burning a hole in my pocket, want to see if this is worth it!

Bobby_m runs brewhardware.com not brewershardware.com

His thermowells start at 14. And they are top quality.

I figure it will get here when it gets here.
I have the steel for the stands I'm going to make, I just need the unit o get the height right.
