you think he's gonna keep it up all season? I was reading this weekend about how he used to be on a 110 count, now he's throwing over, even got to 128 in april. also, if he DOES keep up the pace, does that put the idea of PED's into the conversation? Admittedly, i knew very little about Jimeniz until his no-no(I do rem hearing some buzz last year though)

The # of matchups is the deciding factor in they bye-schedule isn't it? besides, wouldnt you rather get them out of the way before the AS break?

I know one thing....byes should only happen in the playoffs for really high seeds and if, AND ONLY IF, there are an odd number of teams.

I'm not sure how the BYE's were figured out, but it seems that they're not really needed(especially when the 2 BYE teams could be playing each other)
Not like we could change them now...wouldn't be fair

why wouldn't it be fair...as long as everyone has the same amount of byes? I think it's more unfair to have them. What if a team is really hot? they are basically penalized by not playing anyone in a particular week

It wouldn't be fair to get rid of BYE's this far into the season because some teams(like mine) haven't had any BYE's...Also some teams have had more BYE'S than others, so that really wouldn't be fair, would it.

I understand that the BYE's are frustrating, I have my first BYE's BACK TO BACK. But that's just something I have to deal with. It's going to be a LONG season, I just try and not stress over the things I can't change and focus on the fun I'm having watching my favorite sport. Trust me, JohnnyO did a good job with this HBT league, and It'll be even better next year.

I'm pretty sure the byes were a result of this being a ten team league originally, then getting bumped to a twelve team league. Not sure why they didn't foresee that some leagues might do that and plan for it, but they didn't.

Yeah, it sucks, and I'm not looking forward to my bye weeks either. But it's not something we can change in-season and have it be a level playing field across the board. I wish I had caught it before the season started, but I assumed it would work out considering we had an even number of teams.

Before next season starts, I'll make sure the schedule is different.

No worries man. It bothers the hell out of me too. The baseball season is long enough, and having bye weeks in fantasy baseball make it that much longer.
