Hmm...nope don't buy it. I've never heard of such a list and I'm an amazing conversationalist. I talk I listen I respond appropriately. Sometimes other people are even in the room.

The Mrs. And I take public transportation every time we're in the city...no you were not too hard on that woman...my cousin would have thrown something at her from the back and made a run for it...

Love NYC public transport...you meet some very interesting characters

someone's been lying to you. I don't want to point any fingers, but I think you know who it was.:pipe:

A few weeks ago I went on vacation to see my inlaws at their little lake house in upper Michigan with the wife and SessionableGoodness. On the way home, from LaGuardia Airport, I took advantage of the M60 Express Bus, which the MTA has thoughtfully developed to take passengers from the Airport into Astoria (and beyond), dropping me off mere blocks from my house at the low low price of $3.

I just swipe my Metro Card at the outdoor kiosk and pocket my ticket, showing it to the driver when I board. If I didn't have a metrocard, I could use the same machine to pay with cash, credit, or debit cards.

Let me ask you this, New Yorkers and those who have never set foot here both... DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A DIFFICULT CONCEPT TO UNDERSTAND?!

Im already on and at the next terminal I see her coming. Gucci Shoes, LVMH handbag... you know the type...

Driver: "Can I see your ticket ma'am?"
Her: "I have my metro card..."
Driver: "Yes ma'am, the ticket machine is right there and takes the metro card"
Her: "but.... I have a METRO CARD"
Driver: "Yes you need to put your metrocard in the machine right there"
Her: "You aren't listening to me... I HAVE A METRO CARD"
Driver: "YOU aren't listening to ME. YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR METRO CARD IN THAT MACHINE RIGHT THERE!"
Her: "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I HAVE A MET..."
*driver closes door*

Am I just being too hard on her?

I don't believe you're being hard on her at all.
Why would a woman as you stated with 4k worth of garments have a metro card in the first place?
Answer: she's a pretentious fake slob.

I take the air train with the savages to and from JFK regulary. Always has to be at least one "hammer"on the way.

There's nothing more frustrating, than someone who cant comprehend mass transit and brings the whole mess to a halt.
