Henry was my dad's first name, Hill was my FIL's last name.

People either thank I'm the propane guy or the Mafia guy.

I want my name to be l><l Chevy bowtie, or just an unpronounceable symbol.

Can I do that?

Avatar's are various pics that change when I get sick of looking at it.

Currently:Walther P5

"Munsoned" is a reference to the movie Kingpin, where the main character, Roy Munson, has his last name usurped by society as a term to mean "up the creek without a paddle," (i.e., screwed). This describes my homebrewing pretty well--I have a tendency to "Munson" things up from time to time.

The avatar is also from the move, but is Munson's nemesis, Ernie McCracken (the "Big Ern"). It speaks to my own hair loss issues... ;)

brewbrain because I brew and I'm extremely smart. More than some people even.

trash heap because trash heap was extremely smart. more smarter than some other trash heaps.

Octang - When I was in high school I liked cars and I needed an internet handle... so I thought "Octane" would be a great handle... however I sucked at spelling and "Octang" was born....

Later when I realized my mistake I still kept using it because it was unique and I didn't have to worry about others using it whenever I signed up for new memberships at various sites.

scrambled egg=favorite food of all time, but only if it's a little on the runny side. A dash of salt/pepper never hurts.

81=the year the planet Earth inherited it's most twisted un-godly soul (mois).

Title should be self-explanatory. :p

I started brewing about a year ago while in Physician Assistant school. School drove me to homebrewing because I needed something to vent my frustrastions with and homebrewing seemed relaxing and something that gets you drunk. :p

A scut monkey is a term used for physician assistant students or medical students because we do the scut work that others don't want to do. I thought it was fitting since school drove me to the hobby. My avatar is a modified version of the scut monkey found on the Clinicians Pocket Reference which is a very common medical handbook. That's my story.

Well the avatar is the joy that brewing and embibing can bring.

The name zen brew. Brewing of course is brewing. Zen refers to beginning mind. Trying to live in the experience of the moment without any pre-conceived notions. So sort of like brewing with as few pre-conceived notions as possible. Experiencing the process, and the product with as little prejudice as possible. Keeping an open mind to learn and grow as a brewer.

When I first started brewing, I was always nervous about whether I would see actual air lock activity (perc, like an old fashioned coffee pot). So I always Hoped my beer would Perc. I have good air lock activity now, so it's not an issue.

My new handle should be "searchingfortheelusivehousebeerrecipe"

BBSes were still popular when I was about 11 or 12. Back then I used haljordan as my nickname for online chats and BB posts. Hal Jordan was the Green Lantern and was my favorite super hero back then. He's not incredibly popular like Superman or Batman so I could usually get the handle. When the internet started getting popular, I quickly realized haljordan just wasn't going to be universally available. Since Green Lanterns are basically space cops who each patrol a different section of space, I took Hal Jordan's sector (2814) and put it on the end of his first name. It's very rare for someone to actually take that same handle so even today I can usually get it.

OK, this thread shamed me into posting an avatar; here it is. The handle is the same one I use on all Internet sites requiring a login; K.I.S.S. means I ain't changing it.

head was a nickname I got in the Navy (worked on the flight deck and the "crainials" weren't big enough) and 7L was the shop designation. I got the email addy way back when and have just kept on using it to keep things simple.

Mine just came from when a buddy and I were playing a boxing game back in middle school maybe. We just created a player who was fat, old, and ugly and named him julohan randomly.

Where I work we use our own software to program our PLCs. It's relatively new and has quite a few quirks to be worked out. Out of the whole company I am the primary user. I once lost an entire project (days worth of work) because the HMI failed to notify me that it lost connectivity to the network drive. It acted like everything saved. Close the program, open it up the next day to program a PLC and everything had evaporated.
It's constantly making headaches for me and I am usually on the phone with a dev engineer chewing his ass. One of the guys at work said I was prone to code rage. So it stuck.

As for the avatar, It's a very angry little duck but not very imposing. Kind of sums up the whole situation.

Well I own a few hounds. I currently have an 8 year old beagle and a 2 year old Red-Tick coonhound. My avatar is what I see whenever I sit down. Wendy our coonhound always jumps into my lap, and so I decided to get a picture of the view one day.

im colonel forbin. i drug my weary **** ass up the mountain to seek out the great and knowledgeable icculus so that he could call on the famous mockingbird to retrieve the helping friendly book from the evil king wilsons castle so that order would be restored in gamehendge and the lizards could live happily ever after.

Brewing with worm wood again, Colonel?

:D

I just append "500" to my name because just plain "Rick" is usually already taken, and I'd rather have the same number after it on whatever forums I visit, so I can remember it.

Having said that, there are some others using the same handle, so I accept no responsibility when one of them says or does something weird. :D

My avatar says a full barrel of beer is usually drunk and happy. If I believed in reincarnation I would want to come back as a beer barrel.

My name is from my college days...My name is Jeff and all my college friends called me Jefe, which means 'boss' in spanish and pronounced "heffay"...not because I was the boss but because it slightly resembled my name and The Vol because I went to UT Knoxville for my undergraduate degree.
-Jefe-

My profile pic is Dharma Initiative Beer because I love Lost and my Avatar is a custom South Park character if I could be one.

My name and avatar are WVU Mountaineers related.

But all you really did was allow Errand Wolfe to usurp Wilson's power and toss you in prison to rot. Perhaps this drove you to home brewing? At least you now know that all knowledge seeming innocent and pure becomes a deadly weapon in the hands of avarice and greed. At least Icculus got a giggle out of it. :D

My actual nickname at work is Grid. As in off the grid. I wish that were so, however with long hours at work and limited money, I just dream of being self sufficient. The avatar is the way it was around 1890 and I'm currently putting together a time machine that will run on wind and solar power to get my family back to when it was hard. Kidding, must be some past life coming through.

It was the year 2000 and I started playing a game called Everquest. I couldn't think of a good name so I let the game choose for me, it chose "Lunus". To make it easier for other guild members to know if I was online I made all my characters the same name except the first letter. So I had Lunus, Zunus, Bunus, Kunus, Yunus. When I moved on Yunus stuck. It has ever since. If you see Yunus or Yunus89115 on any forum on the internet, there is a good chance it's me.

I played EQ starting a few months after it came out... I should have used my character's name on forums (Khernan). Ah well, didn't think of it. :)

Last name begins "Wollen" and I'm enjoying brewing... thusly, WollenBrew.
Obviously, I "need" to get an avatar. That'll take some convincing on my part to SWMBO.
