All 6 coyote fans . I live in edmonton and bet I could find more pronger fans here than you could.coyote fans in pheonix . We dont dislike pronger because he asked to be treated, its the way he went about it, very disrespectful the the fans

How about that?

Rangers in 6? Rangers couldn't even win against the Sens or Caps in 6. Heck, the Rangers may still not make it past the Caps. Kings took out #1 and #2 (#1 and #3 overall) with a combined total of 1 loss, and a 5-0 perfect record on the road. And whereas Holtby gives up rebounds like crazy (and still the Rangers aren't able to capitalize like they should), Quick has been giving up absolutely *nothing*. His rebound control is almost inhuman. And Brown single-handedly makes their PK just as dangerous as most teams' PP.
Unless the Kings give up or stop playing like they have been (and the heart, grit, and physicality with which they've been playing makes it seem hugely unlikely), nobody else stands a chance. And I am by no means a Kings fan. But since the Leafs never make the playoffs I watch just about every game I can, and fairly objectively at that. And having done so, I just can't see anyone beating the Kings at their current level of play. In fact, they're so unbelievably hot right now that I'd bet that they lose no more than 3 - possibly even 2 - more games.
Great game Caps. Well played. Well coached. What a series!!!!

I do think the West is going to have the Cup this year.
I've actually been to Phoenix. The arena was about 50% full, and half of those people were Leafs fans. So out of 17k, we'll say that there were 4000 'yotes fans in there.
Here's the rub though - every single one of them that I talked to (I moved around to different seats a lot) was a die-hard hockey fan, and 9/10 of them had been going to the games since Day 1. Some (not me) would argue that there aren't 4000 "real fans" in the ACC on any given sell-out evening.
All of these Coyotes fans were super bummed about the state of their franchise, and really just wanted to enjoy things before the team left - which they know is inevitable. I actually would be happy for them if they won. All of them were very, very friendly.
Eh, even you pointed out that the series was winnable by NJ if Brodeur was on his game. I think the people who thought Philly was invincible were only saying so because they beat the Pens, as they were probably the same people who thought THEY were invincible. But their defence/GAA was miserable and many people pointed out how Philly would have a tough time going much further without stepping up that part of their game. And many even predicted beforehand that the winner of the Penn series would be too worn out to go all the way.
And if you think the West will win it, your other choice is Phoenix. They've moved on, but it could easily have swung the other way, given how many of their games went into OT... Heck, their first 5 games did. It was mostly extremely close, whereas LA blew out two (arguably) much better teams, and did it with style. The Coyotes have also had miserable 3rd period play, when LA steps it up big time. And the loss of Torres is going to hurt them even more against such a physical team as the Kings.
If you really think a West team is going to take it, you pretty much have to predict the Kings. I KNOW nothing is guaranteed and that *anything* can happen. But if you're going to make a serious prediction or make an even-money bet with a friend, you'd be retarded not to pick the Kings. The only thing going for Phoenix is that Bettman would LOVE to see the struggling, *NHL-owned team*, whose subsidies from the city of Glendale are coming to an end, win and (hopefully) subsequently turn the team's fortunes around, much like what happened with Pittsburgh. But I don't really believe there's a conspiracy there, and even if there was, having watched every single Kings game, they've played with way too much heart and drive (under incredible leadership from Dustin Brown) to let themselves be a victim of such a thing.

Claude Giroux said it after the game Tuesday night: I think we were thinking we were going to walk over to New Jersey and theyll fall a little bit. I guess weve got to learn from it.

If they can't remove that attitude from the locker room they will never win anything.
As far as predictions go, I'm taking the Kings vs the winner of game 7 (which I already said I think will be Washington). Kings in 5. I will be on the Coyotes bandwagon until the wheels come off however.
emjay said:I agree with this. Also, Kings in 5 if not a sweep over the Coyotes.
rjwhite41 said:I think the Coyotes will last 6. Smith will make it happen.
emjay said:Smith is damn good, but Quick and the LA defence can make the goal support he needs VERY difficult to get.
rjwhite41 said:Very possible. It's the series to watch in my house. I'm hoping the Coyotes can make a series of it.

OT
**** you guys. I'm drowning my post season sorrow at Toronado.
Either way, I'll be happy with the series. To see the 8th seed make it to the finals with only 1-2 losses would be cool, but I wouldn't mind an exciting series either. The only dog I have in this fight is the fact I've been so adamant about my Kings prediction - other than that, I don't really care who wins. Watching the Kings play has made me a bit of a fan, but the same goes for Phoenix (and the Caps, for that matter).
