Broadway Blueshirts, 7 in a row!!!! And a big jump in the standings (2 behind Pittsburgh with 2 less games played) !!!!! Let's go Rangers !!!

Oh noes the Pens got trapped! I dunno this old man Roloson is playing pretty well no? I am not ready to crown the Lightening the new Devils.

Very, I'll take it any day against Detroit. Now if Anaheim can continue the glut they're in and Dallas can drop a game, we'll be in great shape.

oh hai

Ooof, ugly win for the Wild at home last night. The effort from the forwards was not really there for much of the game. Refs were all over the place. A few cheap shots by the Avs in the last few minutes. But we'll take the 2 points.

Well after a few season's of paper-bag-on-head wearing I'm pretty happy to see the Oil not sitting at the bottom of the league and doing pretty well so far. I'm excited for all the young talent on the team right now but I'm worried some of them might burn out half way through the season. But hey I can still cross my fingers for another dynasty like everyone else in this city has been for the last 30 years or so.
I BELIEVE

Goodbye Leafs playoff chances

Nah, still a reasonable shot at 8th, which is what anyone with a brain would have predicted in September anyway. The great start just provides a bit of a cushion for this sort of bad news. Apparently Reimer is back on the ice working out as of today, and if all goes well should be good-to-go in 7-10 days. At least we'll see what the prospects can do with some steady NHL time. But yeah, sucks...

As if they had any had the begining of the year :p

Funny fact from my Canadien :

Carey Price have a better ration points/cap hit then Gomez!!!

(I didn't made the math, its just obvious)

It's actually pretty close!

2011-2012:
Price - 16GP 1A - 0.0625ppg - $2.75m cap - $44m/point
Gomez - 10GP - 2A 0G - 0.2ppg - $7.357143 cap - $36.8m/point

The Habs.... they suck.:ban:

Yes you can count like this or

Carey : 1 point = 2,75 million
Gomey : 1 point = 3,675 million

Still we have twice as many Stanley Cup ha you! :ban:

Meaningless guess at the Eastern 8:

First, who won't make it:
Winnipeg, Carolina, Islanders.

And some who will:
Buffalo, Washington, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh

That leaves Rangers, Toronto, Ottawa, Boston, Tampa Bay, NJ, Montreal for the remaining 4 spots.

My worthless prediction: Toronto, Tampa Bay, probably Rangers and Boston, leaving Ottawa, NJ, and Montreal out.

So Buffalo, Toronto, Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, NY Rangers, Washington, Tampa Bay in. (No order implied here.)

Any other predictions out there?

Sounds about right. No Habs would be perfect.

You now what we always find a way to take the 8th spot just to piss you all off:D

Me I say Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Philadelphie, Whashinton and Tampa seems evident (I don't know why but I believe Stankos and Boucher will make it easilly).

I hate them but Bruins will be in and NYR will make it

The 8th spot, montreal at the last game vs Toronto (9th) in Montreal with a big score something like 6-4 not a good game for Price!

I think this year Florida squeaks in at 8th, and Toronto doesn't make it.

Flyers played like a bag of hammered whale sh*t last night. Straight garbage. Couldn't stay out of the box. Didn't care for some of the officiating on how it was called for both teams, but that's the way it goes. Jets seem to play decent enough to win against the them. 15-12 is the score in two games.

Said it before and I'll say it again...

The shootout is absolute bvllshvt.

Anyone who believes otherwise doesn't understand the game.

What, your team lose the shoot out? :D (just a joke)

Some advantages of the shoot out:
1) My 9 year old likes it, and makes it a bit easier to take him to a game in terms of getting home at a reasonable time.
2) Makes it easier to DVR the event with confidence that you won't miss the end of the game.
3) Last year, in the second half of the season when Pittsburgh averaged only one or two goals a game, they won a bunch of games via Shoot Out. :)

Other than that, I agree. I'd much rather see a longer OT.

Shoot outs are semi-lame. But they do get the game done quicker. Somthing I can't stand about baseball, it takes forever and an hour to complete a damn game.

Nice win by the Wild again last night. Koivu was a beast and had a hand in all 3 goals (shootout goal included).
