I don't think Thornton is the problem. There's nothing wrong with your team if you make the conference finals. You can ask what's wrong with teams like the Caps, but I think SJ has proven they have a solid team. It's just about having the players to finish it out this time of year. As far as that goes, I think it is right to put some blame on Heatley. I'm def. not a big fan of him. Heatley is the only "star" player on the team without double digit point in the playoffs.

Thornton, Boyle, Clowe, Couture, Marleau, Setoguchi, Pavelski...those guys played pretty well at times in the playoffs. I don't think you can fault any of them. But you can't say Heatley not producing will sink a team.

I'm not exactly sure why it hasn't worked out for the sharks...but playing the Canucks in the conference finals seems like it would have something to do with it.

I didn't say there was something wrong with Thornton-- I just said he's not a leader. He actually played two ways this year in the playoffs.

As much as some of these guys played well in the playoffs, they didn't do it consistently. Marleau in particular; his weak defense cost the Sharts a couple games in the playoffs. Clowe is just a *********. Setoguchi was a non-factor in most of the playoffs. Pavelski was OK, but nothing spectacular.

I think their problem is self-confidence and self-doubt. There always comes a point in the playoffs, year after year, where they end up getting tense, losing a game or two, and then the wheels fall off. This happened in the Detroit series-- It took one loss, and then they started doubting themselves, which led to two more losses. They ended up winning the series, but it cost them in the end, as they had nothing to throw at Vancouver.

I'm not a Sharts fan (far from it; I actively root against them), but I find it disgusting how they ran Nabby out of town last year, as if the loss to Chicago was his fault. That's classless. He's a quality goalie, but not when he's expected to play 90+ times a season.

Horton was solid as usual. I'm usually impressed by him. Oh well, part of me is sad :( but I'll look on the bright side -- another stellar game to look forward to :)

Lucic and Horton up to the BS at the end again. They sure get chippy when they LOSE.
TB's top line had 7 points and three of the five goals. Big time players stepping up.
Game 7 tomorrow night. GO BOLTS!!!

Well I'll give it to you Boston feckers. Ya got us. At least we made you work for it. Enjoy your Stanley Cup. :)
