I will be using fresh cider we pressed. So I will be adding Campden tablets first for about 48 hours to kill all the wild yeast. My question is should I add any yeast energizer or nutrients when I pitch the yeast? Edwort's recipe doesn't call for any but I was reading somewhere that apple cider doesn't have the correct nutrients or something to keep the yeast alive. This will be my first attempt at any sort of hard cider so I was curious as every fall we put up about 100 gallons of fresh cider and freeze it from our orchard.
