Ebulum Clone: Substitute for Bog Myrtle?

Hi all,

I'm looking to clone Ebulum Black Ale. According to the brewer's website, the recipe involves bog myrtle, but I haven't been able to find a source nearby. Ideally, I'd like to avoid ordering from a supply that's further away, since I only need this one ingredient and the shipping costs....

Does anyone have ideas about substitutes for this gruit ingredient? Worst case, I guess, I just leave it out entirely and bump up the hops.

Balsam would be your best bet, if you can find that.

Bog myrtle is also called Sweet Gale and comes dried at
most brew stores. Brewers best is the one I buy.
