No knock on Irish Ales, but how pathetic is it – I’m locked and loaded for my big Marzen, Oktoberfest and Festbier Tour and I can’t get my pallet to show up, even on a scheduled Friday drop. So, I humbly submit to you this FANTASTIC Irish Ale. An Irish Ale rolling into Oktoberfest – now I’m really depressed!

No fear though - Sullivan’s makes my absolute favorite 5% ABV red Irish Ale. Sullivan’s has been cranking out delicious Ales like this since 1702. If all the Irish knew about Sullivan’s back then, maybe some of the 4.7 million of them would have stayed home for the excellent local brew rather than coming to the US! Sully’s are worth it! Cheers!

Saturdays are great days for catching up on a few things. In my case, catching up on drinking Pilsners!

Since this is not a shipping day, minimally I have two days of unfulfilled expectations regarding my beer-laden pallet. That’s OK, you get to me my age, you get used to a few disappointments now and then. I’m Teflon coated!

No disappointment here though! Not one, but TWO of one of my favorite Pilsners, Alesmith Anvil Pilsner! Pilsners!!!!

This is one of the handful of top Pilsners in the US. When Alesmith put this one together, they did everything right. Flavor profile is spot on, clarity, nice head, terrific lacing. Only great comments here, this is a fantastic brew. Prost!
