Greetings from London!!
I'm a newb. Started my first kit about a week ago and had a very vigerouse few days of fermentation. It settled down now but due to the vigerouse fermentation, krausen has gotten on to and dried on the outside ridge of the lid (the bit you grip your fingers to when lifting off the lid). Should I leave it there? or is it ok to lift off the lid to wash, but then leaving my beer exposed??
Thanks. Happy brewing!!
