My youngest teen girl decided to dress up the dogs. The little terrier girl was not too amused, but then again she would still kill a rabbit and chase a fox even in that getup.

Good thing that dogs can not feel embarassment!

Whoa, that's cool! I wonder how many other ball parks do that...

I think other parks also host dog days. I bought tickets for my dog and me, and all the money goes to dog rescues. The kids in the stadium went crazy when they showed the doggie kiss cam on the jumbo screen :)

That's pretty cool. What a great way to raise money.

Funeral homes increasingly using dogs to comfort mourners

In one case, a boy about 7 years old had lost his 3-year-old sister and had stopped talking, even to his parents.

"The minute the dog came in, the boy started talking to him about his sister," Krause said. "This little boy tells the dog, 'I don't know why everyone's so upset, my sister said she's fine where she is.'"

Sitting in the emergency hospital with my pup. Not able to walk and vomiting a lot crossing fingers he's ok the wife is freaking out and I'm trying to stay stoic but it's really hard to see him helpless.

just over 3 years after the Howdy hurt his back, we didn't think he was gonna pull thru.

he did, wouldn't say he's back 100%, but right now he's buggin' me for his morning walk. we're running a little late and the little effer is letting me know he's ready

may look bleak now, but there's always hope. always.

Yep. Had to take my old fart of a Bernese into the vet yesterday. Until this weekend, in the 4 years I have had him, two accidents in the house total. This weekend, three in two days and it smelled like something had been rotting inside him. By Sunday evening seemed fine but took him in anyway.

Vet thinks it was just something he have might gotten his hands...err teeth...err, gums...on in the yard (dead mouse or bird most likely) but we did a blood panel anyway. At 15, no "heroic" measure are going to be taken but if it it is a treatable blood-born parasite (stool was clean) it will catch that.

Scares me to death cause this old guy is possibly the best dog I have ever had.

Well we had to leave him overnight poor guy couldn't even walk when the vet was with him had to be carried everywhere. About to call them see how he's doing after the night.

this was the Howdy 3 years ago.

this morning he spent 20 minutes chasing his squeaky toy up and down the stairs before he decided to go do his job, which is to snooze at my feet while I'm working

good thoughts to you and your puppy
