Hey everyone, I'm Ben from North Dakota and I've been home brewing for about 5 years. I enjoy crafting my own recipes and continuously improving my brews and techniques. I'm also really into tech, so I like to build my own gadgets and tools to make everything about brewing more connected. I'm looking forward to reading through the forums and chatting with all of you. Cheers 🍻

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Welcome to the group Ben!

With five years of brewing under your belt what styles do you like the best?

I have been sucked into this hobby for almost forty years, enjoying it still with every brew.
40 years! That's incredible, I hope I can do the same!

I haven't found a style that I didn't like brewing, and I try to brew as many different styles as I can. But as far as drinking, I generally prefer hazy session IPAs in the warmer months and robust porters in the colder months. Here's what I have on tap now (still carry-over from the summer, but I'm looking forward to some darker brews to get me through this north dakota winter!): https://tapboard.beer/t/J2vBYazI

Nice selection and a very impressive menu board!

I spent lots of years dialing into different beer styles but now I just keep to about a dozen solid recipes that I mix up year to year. Every year I still try one or two new ones. There are so many great ones out there it's hard to stick with just my own.

Great hobby, stick with it and you'll get forty years in before you know it!
