I was reading about the party pig and ordered one, but I was curious about the priming sugar. Is it necesary to achieve carbination. The reason I ask is I have a cider that I am thinking of sorbating, and want to know if I can carbonate it with the pig using the pressure pouch setup. Thanks.

Thanks. I wasn't sure. I may end up borrowing a friends corny keg for the cider then.
