A quick look suggests you can get a lot going on for not a giant amount of cash with their PLC stuff. Have you got electric valves too?
Yes, and manual valves including a flow diverter board. I used pneumatic butterfly valves in the past but ran out of air supply quickly because the grain processing system requires a lot of air to move the grain around.

Automatization of grunt work is not cheating in my book. I couldn't care less when I was younger and I brewed 5 gallon batches. But with so much less time and add back pain, I am all for electric equipment, also now I care more about flavor profile than "this is the fun way to do it".

drink out of the fermentor. I remember reading people saying that did that. Jeepers.

I started this thread months ago and wanted to come back and say that I’m now the owner and user of an Anvil 10.5 boil kettle with control head. It’s been so nice using this thing with all the features. Especially the delay timer. I did 2 SMaSH beers (2 row experimenting with lemon drop and citra hops) and an oatmeal coffee milk stout. It has simplified a lot and I can do everything in my kitchen without running in and out my house getting things or relighting the flame when the wind is too strong. I don’t think I wanna go back to propane burners again and am a huge fan of electric now. I bought it second hand and it has no issues. But I think I might wanna switch to the claw hammer later for the modular capability. Thanks for everyone’s insight. Cheers! 🍻

This was the market place post. I think I got a good deal

Wow, 450 for all of that is a great deal. I have yet to give my Grainfather it's maiden voyage with me. Waiting for the ingredients from Morebeer and will give it a run. I am pretty excited to see how this all works as I too did the propane burner. I enjoyed it actually, but I think the temp control of the Grainfather is going to help me a lot.

There’s no going back now buddy. Enjoy.

At the risk of this triggering the "political post" designation (it isn't, really)...there have been reports that the current administration is considering a replacement for the current postmaster general.

Cheers!

I would love for there to be a better replacement; it’s too much for me to hope for since the current one was put into place by this same administration.
