I'm a beginner to brewing and I wonder if this beer look healthy. It's been fermenting in one and a half week. For me it looks really bad and if it isn"t, what should I do with the "goo" layers?

Looks like it's still working, the head hasn't dropped completely out yet. What kind of beer is it and what kind of yeast did you use. I'm assuming an extract beer but there is a lot of trub.
