Morgans Ginger Beer Yeast

Has anyone tried Morgans Ginger Beer Yeast in Cider, Mead, or anything else not Ginger Beer?
There's a good deal on it and I think I might give it a go.

I appreciate you said something about this stuff, I'd like to do more research and maybe try using it. I've been dabbling with Ginger Beer Plant, the SCOBY/jelly-grain, just happened across this forum while reading one about GBP in a 2011 forum!! I've been looking forward to experimenting with making an authentic product of GBP without using any added yeast other than that which is produced naturally... not sure I've been very successful. I'll continue trying my luck with natural methods, but this seems interesting.

Is there anything you're wanting to try making in particular with this?
