It's been a long, hot summer and I'm struggling to keep my fermenters at around 30'C (luckily, I still have a stash of Belle Saison yeast).
I have two 5-gallon fermenters under my desk and I'm thinking of enclosing the desk with insulation panels and installing a car cooler lid on one side that has a 55W peltier module and connecting it to an old computer power supply.
What do you think?
Could that lower the temperature significantly? By 10 degrees Celsius or more?

I have not looked in a while, but I came away with a generally low opinion of peltier cooling when last I considered it.

Is it cheap? If so, maybe worth a try.

I've definitely seen people use window AC units and a big rigid foam box. Some even take apart the AC unit and bend the tubing to form an inner- and outer-unit so the insulation can be more complete, but you risk a refrigerant leak (bricked AC unit).

Whc has some really heat tolerant strains that are supposed to be not kveik and not saison. I will test them, maybe you want to check then out too, they're supposed to be good. They are dry yeasts.

idk if it will drop it enough over the course of active fermentation. If you want to give it a try, I might use a saison yeast that can handle up to 77-80*f. That way if it doesn’t keep it cool enough, you’ll be still be fine and you’ll know for next time. The easiest way to do a fermentation chamber is with an old chest freezer or mini fridge ,that fits your fv. You can find those on n fb market or Craig’s list. Then all you’ll need is an inkbird or similar to maintain the temp
