Anybody want to/able to grab me a coconut joy 32oz? I'll be back in CT next weekend (Dec 5/6). I can replace the glass and bring a Trillium IPA or something in return.

Congrats everyone. We made it to Black Friday without a single "WHERE'S THE BCBS IN CT" post.

Went to a small "function" at Cask Republic in Stamford tonight. I was pretty happy that the small tap list included BFM Bon Chien in addition to Allagash White and a few similar beers that were part of our open bar. Not a terrible rainy Tuesday night.

And semi-related, the SoNo reinvention of the GM to CR is nice. That damn patio still has a ways to go however.

BFM pouring at an open bar? That's the perfect recipe to turn me into "that guy" at the office

blckout20 cracked the new batch of Experimentalis Raspberry and it seemed pretty clearly sick - we each only had a sip or two before a drainpour. The beer seemed a little oily to the point of being somewhat ropey overall with lots of weird stuff sitting in suspension; little gray and pink slime things. One of the first ectoplasm type "ropey" bottles of anything I have dealt with.

Sounds to me like a 2-3 month issue. Probably will be cleaned up by March. Thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone seen Xocoveza on shelves in the New Haven area the last few days? Looking for some for a gift!

Hey dudes. Just moved from Virginia to Mystic, CT. Is there anything I should know?
Welcome to CT!
The Malted Barley just over the border in RI is a solid spot for drafts and delicious pretzels/pretzel sammitches about 20 mins from there. Proclamation Ale Co. in RI is a very solid up and coming brewery.

Bingo bango, thanks! Friend actually lives in Westerly so I will have an excuse to go there.

You live right by Beer'd (in Stonington), one of the best breweries in the state! Hope you like IPAs :)
Already went there! I was amazed at how they weren't all Citra/Mosaic ipas (at least currently.) Very good. I will be going there regularly. Thanks!

Could you please explain a little more?
Malty, old West Coast style (big caramel presence, amber malts). Highly bittered. Aroma hops are present making the IPAs smell a little tropical, but the flavors are dominated by the bigger factors present which are caramel and bitterness.

They have an amazing facility and I wish I could brew my homebrew recipes there in huge batches. :(
