I'm leaning towards not getting involved with the sure to be insanity of OEC and just swinging by Two Roads around 12:30 or so since they never sell out of the sour releases right away. That way I get a draft pour before I buy bottles and don't have to do much/any line waiting.

Is 9 a good time to get there or is that just for hanging out and sharing bottles? I've never managed to have the day off for a big release before, always showed up after work and took my chances on there being anything left. Which has been sometimes yes, sometimes no.

birthday brunch knocks me out for OEC, going to try for 2R then NEBCO

Yes it is

Do you think 10 would be a safe time to get to OEC or would that be risky for getting some experimentalis?

I think I'm going to go to Two Roads instead, I don't think I'm getting experimentalis at this point.

I was pretty much on the same schedule. Worked out nicely! A friend who arrived at Two Roads 2 mins after me missed out on Hex.

Went to the No Worries opening. Amazing? No. But they did it right, starting with 4 beers (IPA, Session, RyePA and a Brown) and grow from there. I hate when a place opens with 20 beers

How is that Shruggie? Almost ran to Birch Hill to grab some today. Does it envelope you in a gently carbonated juice snuggie? I had the 'vague reassurances that you are not the father' or whatever - solid but kind of light on flavor and not all that different from my homebrews.

I think it's the best IPA they've done since Super Sparkle and in the same class as that one and ALS. The Galaxy notes really pop and are well complemented by Amarillo and Azacca. Agreed that Some Vague was a touch too light.
