thanks guys.. yeah, want to try any of there stuff. Hearing good things. The site shows 1 store in Stratford but they were not listed in the delivery of shower beer. I may have to check the spot in Trumbull too.

I just want all the Dupont Cider on 10/31... love that stuff so I'll be dropping by for a few.

I'm likely going to 2 Roads as well. Really want that new fruit sour.

Hell yeah!
I am a sucker for those 'straight from the barrel' feels. They had the wine theif going on the Rum Xyauyu Barrel at one of the fesitvals and it was quite a treat.

I missed the first go round on the cider fest and regret it so I am likely to do the next one. Also pretty sure I'll be at Two Roads for Sourcopia. I liked the last run of the Kriek and definitely want Hexotic.

Raspberry Experimentalis was my least favorite of the Experimentalis releases so far, weirdly.

I thought the original batch was dope when it was on tap...but the bottles they release later were kinda "meh", though.

The details that I've received about this particular batch, however, suggest a potentially incredible brew.

Enjoyable? Looks cool...about as trubby and turbid as I have ever seen.

Very enjoyable. Almost like a raspberry smoothie.

It's suggested on the label that you roll the bottle to mix up the particulates to get it nice and purp.

On tap, this poured and then settled almost like Jell-O 1-2-3. Awesome stuff.

Awesome.

That's that new school ****. Hoppy beers and Tart/Sour Fruited alike - mix em up and drink them with at the good stuff in suspension (yeast/protien/hop oil/fruit/whatever else). Polarizing concept, but if nothing else it is allowing for some beers with outrageously expressive flavors.

Any BTAC updates out there? I'm hearing end of November from some people in the biz but I feel like that is them speculating based on last year..

hoping to be there somewhat early... any idea if they usually sell Dupont bottles? or growlers of the other stuff?

The only Dupont bottles that they sell to-go is the apple juice. Probably the best apple juice in the world and OEC is just about the only place to get it in the US. 2013 vintage, of course.

They'll have some other guest growlers, though:

Guest Growlers:

Heck's 2013 Vintage Dry Cider
- OEC/750ml: $9 - 32oz/1L: $11 - 64oz/2L: $21

Sandford Orchards Chestnut Cider
- OEC/750ml: $9 - 32oz/1L: $11 - 64oz/2L: $21

Domaine Dupont Cidre de Givre (2007 Calvados Barrel - Filled directly from the barrel)
- 330ml: $20 OEC/750ml: $44.50 - 32oz/1L: $56 - 64oz/2L: $112

Ah... wanted that Christian Druin Poire. Happy about the apple juice though.

A little last minute but a buddy and myself just decided that we're going to combine our Flora bottles and open them together in Stamford tomorrow. On the docket: Batch 5, Batch 6, Cuvee, Blue/Black, Plum, Satsuma. If somebody local has a cherry or blueberry and is interested in joining let me know.
