Well ****, my plans just fell through for Friday (thanks wife...) so now I'm going to hit these places on Saturday. So, what are Saturdays like, crowd-wise? How should I plan the stops - Trillium first, Night Shift second, Tree House third?

Thanks for the info GuzzleMcBrew, I appreciate it!

If Tree House has cans, they generally don't last through Saturday afternoon. So getting to Tree House early would probably be your best bet (someone can correct me if 930/10am is "too late", I haven't been on a Saturday morning in a few months).

Then Trillium second. The earlier you get to Tree House, the earlier you'll get through the growler line and on your way to Boston.

Where are you coming from? Night Shift and Trillium are within ~20 min of each other, Tree House is over an hour away from both.

I recommend what lambandtunaphish suggests re: order. Night Shift is completely painless. There will be a bunch of people, but that's because it's a big ass taproom where people are drinking. Another reason to make it your last stop - you can post up there and get full pours, buy food from whatever food truck is there, while Tree House and Trillium are both cramped and will have a ton of people, and won't have full pours to sell you or food.

The alternative would be to go Tree House right to Night Shift, then Trillium before close, then Row 34 next door for some beers.

Based on recent history, Trillium's probably gonna be pretty low on bottles on Saturday, but it's hard to predict! I have no idea what recent Trillium lines have been like, but if there's really desirable stuff available in bottles it can be kinda rough if people are filling growlers too. Tree House will be really busy, as always.

NEBCO Cask Crawl...

I'll be in New Haven/NEBCO today. Any suggestions?
In downtown New Haven, Prime 16 and Cask Republiic are the usual recommendations. Prime has 3 Kent Falls beers on right now, which is probably the best new brewery in the state. Closer to NEBCO, Wheeler's, Woodbridge Social, and Stone Hearth usually have decent lists. If you're looking to go outside of New Haven, Jake's Tavern in Wallingford has Double Barrel Jesus on draft.

If you're interested in Kent Falls, Amity Wines (right by NEBCO) had 3 of their bottles last night.

Mikro in Hamden has Beer'd dogs and boats on tap, which a lot of people seem to like. Normally, I'd try to add a place with SoS on tap, but I don't really see many New Haven-ish checkins on untappd (besides one at Da Lenga yesterday).

Prime 16 was lunch today. Kent Falls was deliciously had. Cask Republic was used to chug some super fresh Super Session #2. Went to Amity liquors for a nice haul of Evil Twin/Crooked Stave/Off Color. NEBCO was a bit of a disappointment as they only had #2 on tap. Now at Jakes for Double Barrel Jesus and Sea Hag.

Hey all... the Noah Webster House is having their first annual Real Ale Harvest Fest on 10/17. Details below. I'm on the Board there, so i figured i would pimp this here. Hopefully some of you can make it. The list of brewers is tough to read on the below flyer, but they also have a FB event where the info is a bit easier to see.

Just wanted to say thanks to GuzzleMcBrew, Iambandtunaphish and tehzachatak for the info. Last Sat I decided to skip Tree House because I really wanted to get some Julius and Green cans but they only had Alter Ego and Eureka available so we hit the road in the morning and hit Trillium, then Night Shift. I brought home 7 different beers and have been enjoying the **** out of them: DDH Melcher, Fort Point, Congress, Citra DH Shower, Morph, Whirlpool and Santilli. Not bragging, just can't believe I was able to get all these beers in one run!

Now I need to plan a Wed trip up to Tree House for a cans-only release...

"A friend"

Just gave my two cents

Edit: they deleted my comment 2x about needing better friends and how they're advertising/encouraging a 250% price gouge from a local brewery.
Joke's on them... I'm gonna light a bag of poo on fire, and leave it outside the store!
