Well, as a follow up to my own post, looks like the Beer Camp situation is pretty grim - at least in New Haven. Amity - who regularly gets huge shipments - got a whopping 2 cases total.

Price?

Looks like Total Wine in Norwalk has them in the inventory online. $24.99 and $4.79 for the Beer Camp Invite 24oz Double IPA.

Is the Farmington Wood n Tap the only one that ever gets any good beer?

Just asking b/c I always wind up drinking their 'rotating' GI/Captain Lawrence beers. Biggest complaint is that the waiters (specifically at Wallingford/Rocky Hill) can never tell me what's actually on tap... They just refer me to the menu where it says rotating/seasonal next to everything

Those places suck. Pretty sure the one in Southington doesn't clean it's lines often either.

Max Burger in West Hartford has 4 taps flowing from the new brewery Black Hog, if anyone is interested in trying them. Haven't heard much about these guys.
Besides that event it looks like they're on tap at a lot of places already. They posted on facebook last night everywhere that their beer has been/will be.

Looking for some Black Hog? Fear not, check out one of these fine establishments for a taste! -
COALHOUSE PIZZA, The Corner Tavern, Knuckleheads, Mikro Beer Bar, Ordinary, Caseus, Plan B Milford, Prime 16 Tap House + Burgers, Putnam House, The Russian Lady New Haven, Kellys On Crown, Dive Bar and Restaurant, Jake's PUB, The Outer Space, 744 West Bar & Grill, BB Shack, Dew Drop Inn, BlackBear New Haven, Box 63, Eli's on Whitney, Pour House Sports Tavern, J Timothy's Taverne, Eli Cannon's, Hop Häus, The Flatbread Company - Canton, CT, and World of Beer - Stamford!

I'm going to be in town next Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon. I might just barely be able to stop by NEBCo (strictly for to-go) on Wednesday, but in the meanwhile, I'm wondering which shops, restaurants, or bars I should try to hit (mainly looking for NEBCo cans). My hotel is in Trumbull. Thanks for any thoughts!

I know Glastonbury M&R got 10 cases, so 20 packs in total. Definitely worth a pass though. The west coast DIPA invitation 24 oz is pretty great though.

The Glenro Spirit Shoppe in Monroe has a pretty darn good selection, the store's pretty cramped and it's tucked away in the back so you might have to ask to be pointed to its location, but it's worth the trip. If you're staying in the Hawley Lane area, which is where I think the only hotel in Trumbull is located, Town Line Wine & Spirits is probably just a minute or two away from your hotel. Its selection isn't quite as good as Glenro but it's a solid store all the same. Asides from that Amity is right near NEBCO and is worth a stop if you make it up to the brewery.

Town Line Wine on the Trumbull/Stratford line might be your best bet for NEBCO cans (MooltiPass just beat me to this), but I actually haven't been there in a while now. Restaurants/bars... honestly not sure if I know anything specifically in Trumbull. Prime 16 in Orange or New Haven (good burgers and beer), Plan B in Milford (good burgers/beer), Cask Republic in New Haven, Modern Apizza if you want a taste of New Haven pizza. There are also a stores/bars in Fairfield, if you're going south of Trumbull.

When you're at NEBCO, it's really to go only (they don't do full pours, just samples and growlers).

If you're up in Monroe for Glenro, there's also Stepney Wine, which keeps their beermenus.com page updated (I think)

I had been bugging store clerks who had never heard of Jack`s Abby about this for a while now. Glad to hear that the bottles have finally become a reality in the Nutmeg State :)

The style is probably not going to lend itself to my tastes (although I loved Peleg and thought I wouldn't), but god damn if this isn't one of the prettiest labels I've seen in a long long time.

Looks like a complete loss of the building, that's an absolute shame. Hopefully they can rebuild.

Anyone seen any Wet Willy lately? 12/2012 is drinking like a champ and I just realized I need more, much more!!

Anyone going to OEC on Saturday? I should be there around 12:30 or so, after I finish up a fantasy football draft. Black Hog will be open as well (with complimentary pig roast!), so I might stop by there as well.

I'm trying to get to OEC at opening... anyone tried those beers yet?

I've tried an array of their beers. They are quite good. Pretty sure you're going to love it.

You going after Plan Bee?

no Plan Bee for me this weekend, unfortunately.

family time... but OEC is only 30 minutes from my brother's so I should be able to make a quick beer run

OEC was very good. Hoping that they expand their hours at some point. It's tough for me to get to that part of the state on a Saturday between 12-7 with a wife and kids and all.
