I have done 50 brews in last 1 1/2 year and most brew instructions show a table of hops additions at boil 60 and 5. 60min for bittering and 5min for aroma. I assumed that the aroma hops are added at the boil at the last 5 minutes (most cases). Is this correct? Reason I ask is that using Brewfather it has a hop category for "Boil" and one for "Aroma (Hopstand)" and the latter shows a temperature of 170°F kind of indicating is not during boil. So this made me think about my assumption.

Hopstand hops are added AFTER the boil is complete. If the recipe calls for a hopstand at 170, it means to add those hops once the wort has chilled to 170.

OK. Thanks! In this hobby you gotta keep learning every day :)
