I tried searching but did not find what I needed.

I have a recipe that uses 5 lbs of LME. I can find 3.3 lb or 4 lb cans. If I read correctly I could use the 4 lb can and .8 lbs of dry. I found somewhere that LME is 20% water. Am I thinking correctly here?

When I brew a beer with DME & LME, I use the DME in the boil for hop additions. Then add the LME at flame out. I get the intended color that way & it tastes cleaner in the end.
