I have been using the closed transfer method to keg my beer from a Fermonster to a keg. Since the keg lid is closed what's the best method to know the keg is FULL but not too full?
I could use markings on the fermenter but I've got dry hop bags in there which throws the measurement off.
I've used the chilled condensation on the side of the keg but depending on conditions that doesn't always work at the top.
Last night I weighed the keg full of StarSan and filled to the same weight with beer. Then my OCD kicked in and thought the specific gravity could vary but I'm sure it's close.
So what is your method to know you filled the closed keg?
(I had beer left in the fermenter so I just bottled it.)
Thanks
