Cleaning Blickmann Beer Gun

I just purchased a used Blickmann beer gun. After reading the instructions and watching a video on using it, I have a question regarding cleaning it. It appears that the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly is quite time consuming. Has anyone used PBW and StarSan to clean the beer gun with out taking it apart. If you had a keg with PBW and another with StarSan you could just run the cleaner and sanitizer thru the beer gun.

My Blichmann beer gun comes apart in like 8 seconds..... Take the end piece off (it slides), snap the filler tube over from the handle and it falls apart in your hands. I never trust just running starsan or a cleaner through things. Maybe I have an older model?

The inside of the gas purge tube is the spot I think most people overlook while they are focused on cleaning the beer path. Just take it apart every time and run the brushes through. You'll get good and fast at it.
