I think if editions are going to go this quickly, the likelihood of a stout each time is going to go way down.

I doubt this round will have a BA stout. Possibly next round.

The year is 2033. We haven't had a stout release since Catador 2.

With memberships being sold on the secondary market for upwards of 950.00 CCBucks, I had to take a long hard look at myself to wonder if it's really worth it. But then I think back to edition 1... All the DB Huna that I missed out on.... no... I must steel myself and stay the course. They can't just keep sending us barleywines and old ales, can they? Something's got to give.

I check my CCBucks balance and it's a bit low. No worries, I can log some work in the barrel caves for about a month. It's not so bad, they give you a daily Lager® allowance and sell you hand rolled cigars at a discount. Course you can't smoke them while you're there... Last time someone got caught doing that he came back with a broken arm.

I duck down low as the InBev patrol rolls by. The war's been going on for nearly 6 years now. Sure, no one though much of Fireman Capital at first, but slowly and surely they built up the biggest brewing portfolio in the world. Well...next to InBev of course. I'll never forget the day they came to my door... they took us "catador" members down quite systematically.... we all still have some small gleam of hope that everything will work out. Nobody says it, but we all know it's ******** too.

**** it... We just have to get by one day at a time. "Survive" I keep telling myself every time the whip cracks across my skin.
"Survive" I say as I collapse on top of a barrel from exhaustion.
"Get the **** up" a gruff voice snaps, "This Quad barrel huna isn't going to bottle itself and the Boss is thirsty."

You have way too much free time.

Inb4 B1 was better.

Didn't they just get new barrels, from pictures on FB group? Maybe next round.

Think I also saw mention of these, don't know if there's more:

BA Winter Warmer
Outskirts - Bourbon BA Porter
Trousseau Barley Wine Aged In Madiera Barrels

I had an Apple Brandy WW at a fest a couple of years back. I enjoyed it.

Yes I remember having an Apple Brandy Barrel Aged Winter Warmer at Dark Lord Day 2010 / 2011 and it was glorious. Would gladly take that as a bottle (and that new Double Barrel Hunahpu to round it out wouldn't be bad either...)

So... forgive a lazy foreigner who can't be bothered to read 45+ pages, but any news when the next round of El Cat memberships will come up for sale? If at all?
Hasn't been announced yet but they said round 3 was going to move fast. We already have 3 of the 5 bottles. Expecting this round to end in the next month or two

From El Catador Club FB page:
The fourth bottle of the third edition of the El Catador Club will be ready for pickup today

Outskirts is an Imperial Porter aged in Bourbon Barrels. Outskirts presents itself on the nose with aromas of star anise and the unmistakable vanilla-wood-alcohol punch of the bourbon barrels in which it was aged. Semi-sweet chocolate, treacle and a trace of dried blackberry flavors combine with vanilla and leather on the palate to deftly hide it's 14.5% alcohol content. Viscous but never cloying, soft wood tannins and alcohol spiciness balance Outskirts' formidable body.

It seems clear they are spacing releases every two weeks (bottle 1/El Cat signups on 2/21, bottle 2 on 3/7, bottle 3 on 3/21, bottle 4 on 4/4), so assuming the pattern continues, the final bottle will be released on 4/18.
