Happy Tampa Bay Beer Week! The 2nd bottle in the 3rd Edition of El Catador Club is here: Good Gourd Almighty Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Pumpkin Ale.

Members of the 1st Edition of El Catador Club will remember we released a rum barrel-aged version of this beer for club members.

This high-gravity gob of gourd-y goodness incorporates pumpkin in the mashing process and then gets wicked with the spices including Ceylon cinnamon, Jamaican all spice, Zanzibar cloves and nutmeg.

Please note that your bottle will not be officially ready for pick-up until you receive an automated email stating that the bottle is ready. These emails should all be sent out today.

IS IT PUMPKIN BEER SEASON ALREADY??!?!?!

GoodGourdPlease

I believe they did say this round would move alarmingly fast. So, it could be over in a couple months.

Yeah, i've been told this several times, that we would be shocked at how fast Round 3 went.

Any ideas what the other bottles are? There weren't any hints this time like the previous rounds. I always enjoy all the beers, but I am hoping for a Zhukov or Huna variant this round.

You and everyone else in the membership. I hope they release a white stout just to **** with people.

Ok? I just said I was hoping for one, it won't be the end of the world if it doesn't happen. The beers are always good.

Given the fact CCB has said this round will move fast that would mean club beers are in bottles are or getting close to be bottled. So I think details on the remaining bottles will be coming out very soon. Just rumors, but I hear one that said no stouts this round and another rumor that said one of the Round 3 releases would be a wine barrel aged cranberry grove I think. I think Opal, a bourbon BA strong ale might be one of the bottles and another Round 3 would be a bourbon BA winter warmer. Just rumors so take that for what it is.

Nope, your guess is as good as mine. I did see some Tequila barrels being filled with 2% milk and fruit loops, so thats a possibility.

Dry hopped brandy barrel old ale eh? I can certainly say it will be the first of this style I've had.

I'm kind of a noob, so not entirely versed in their release protocol, but do they ever send out emails with a description of the beer? Or do y'all just know from word on the street around the brewery what these are? All I got was a ready for pickup email with such poor image quality the text on the label is pretty much impossible to read.

Edit: and I literally just received the description email, so never mind.

I'm not a huge barley wine fan but I thought Lorem Ipsum was pretty good. Haven't opened gga yet but I have high hopes for it. I loved the rum version
